I think it's the style your videos are. To me, your videos is not just simply giving information, but it's like talking to a friend and giving recommendations. Although I couldn't relate to your video sometimes as things in US is different to HK, like when you talk about passport issues or personal ID card, I still find it's so interesting to know about things I don't know. i do not worry about plane tickets because i have 90% off every ticket of any country my airlines fly to, which is why i would do the hotel one, that all ends after 21 tho, which is 3 years later! definitely going to look it all up! thank you!

I do not spend a £ unless it credits my mileage account. I have been with BA/OneWorld as my primary carrier so I use the BA Amex, but the LLoyds Duo Matercard/Amex (UK) cards don't have a Forex fee on overseas transactions, so they are a better choice overseas, while also crediting the BA FF miles. Having said that, now that I am on the Quest to visit every country in the world, I started to go for the cheapest fares. This results in airmile accounts fragmentation, as I have to have multiple accounts open with various FF programs. I guess sticking to one maybe two FF programs is best for most travelers.

Great job explaining the choices! I've had a Discover cash back card for several years - no annual fee but they really don't work for overseas travel (not typically accepted overseas). I have earned "back" hundreds of dollars every year. BUT you have to pay your complete balance every month or the the interest will get you.

Yes, I have a hotel rewards card (or two). Not to mention airline cards for all the major carriers. I prefer driving, but, I can't drive to China yet.

I love The Points Guy! He does a great job at laying everything out. That said, I have recently been reading a lot on Upgraded Points as well. Their post on the Chase Sapphire Reserve card and getting more United miles have made a HUGE difference in how I understand all the benefits that come along with that great card. I had no idea I could transfer my Chase points 1:1 to United miles, which is huge because I live in San Fran and am constantly flying with United. Upgraded Points also has a great table comparing all the Chase cards, personal and business, and has helped me and my wife a lot in making sure we have the card that's best for us. What are your thoughts on the Chase Reserve?

in the EU the 'reward' is that you're being transported for dirt cheap and that's it :) This really only works when you fly like 50k+ miles /year.

what do you think about the capital1 venture 1 card? after the first year which card do you like better venture or venture1? points are not for cash back there the same as miles but said differently. If you have the Discover more card you redem for cash back, if you have the chase sapphire you redem for points, capital1 venture card 2 miles or 2 points.
