The bar is called Glendower after the sites name during the war when Billy Butlin let the forces use his camps as training bases during the war. Prince Philip trained here. I worked in what is now the Owner Lounge when it was Butlins. It was the budget, county and premier dining halls. Christmas here was magical. In 1995 it snowed on Christmas Day. The chalets are from the Butlins days, and when we went last in 2020 the last of the staff chalets were still standing, but the rumour was these were being demolished. They are on the South side at the very edge of the property. The rock garden was Butlins too, and again, rumour has it that it’s being removed. It has been left, it’s not part of the Haven business model. The triangular lodges are from Butlins days too. Some are now privately owned and can be hired. You are right, the platform was for the old train. You could follow the route to the beach last time we were there.

I Lived here for 3 amazing months summer 94 when it was Butlins, quite sad watching, trying to recognise original bits..looks lovely, though they have lost a lot of the magic.

I remember visiting a few times as a kid when it was Butlins, i was also trying to recognise origional bits

Go there twice per year for the kids birthdays, our favourite park to go to. The site is always immaculate, the shop's very reasonably priced for an "on site shop". Our kids love the entertainment venues, the entertainment is of decent quality and the pool is a big tick as well, there's a lovey little beach cove right up the far end of the site if you follow the coastal path, the takeaways are always really nice because the food's all cooked fresh. And you're in a stunning area with loads to offer off site as well if you want to wander off for the day elsewhere. We were about to purchase a Holiday home on there but covid came along and bought the world to its knees. Great video by the way 👍🏼

No, this is the first time we are going to this site. We have been to presthaven twice this year, trying some where different next year, maybe Quey West or Craig Tara during the summer holidays. I doubt we will be going abroad for a while.
