Travel Vlog: Sea Day, Cozumel, and Progreso (Yucatán) on the Carnival Valor! (Part 2)

This was a longer video with a lot going on but it was a lot of fun!
Fun Day at Sea - didn’t do much but eat, recover, and watch the Superbowl!
Cozumel:
Tour booked through the Carnival HubApp - Ancient City of Tulum Tour ($95.99/person - snack, water, and transportation provided)
Our tour guide was Pamela and our bus driver was Abel! Also, a lovely woman saw me recording and asked if I was a vlogger! I tried to keep as much footage in as I could just so she would be able to see things from my point of view and share with her family and friends! I do recommend this tour for those who want to see a different side of Tulum! Just be prepared to walk!
I realized I mention the wifi issue a lot. Of course when you go on vacation you should be able to disconnect, but I wanted to be able to keep in touch with my kiddos so that’s why I opted for the premium plan.
Progreso:
Highly recommend taking the free shuttle into the downtown area to explore. We took a guided bus tour that was $8 per person. I think it was worth it because we were able to have a local’s perspective on a lot of things and we got to see most of the area. Where the bus depot is located, if you walk through it a little, there is a free beach for those who are interested. We enjoyed the little area that had all the restaurants and shopping.

Love it. Yall just having a good ole time. Tip from a seasoned cruiser. Once you go balcony cabin you will never go back.

I’ve never been on a cruise and I feel like I’m going on a cruise watching this order like I’m on the cruise activate and I love it! I wonder if it was so windy because it’s February is it hurricane season for Tulum? How do you know if they get hurricanes…

Lmao I’m so ridiculous! I really crack myself up when I’m editing these vlogs. But cruises are a lot of fun! I’m not sure why it was so windy because hurricane season is typically in like August! But we made due, just going to be better prepared next time to walk a lot.

You know….it wasn’t terrible butttt if you happen to want to catch something else you can probably miss this show and see something else lol but I definitely recommend the love and marriage show! That was such a fun time.

I didn’t, but the boys did! I did $100 in cruise bar cash (that went very quickly) so they would get my drinks for me if I wanted one.

Did you have to take a smaller boat from the valor to Cozumel?

So the ship docks in Cozumel, but the smaller boat took us to the mainland, specifically, Playa del Carmen where we took the bus to Tulum.

Oh you’re going to have so much fun! We booked that Tulum excursion through Carnival so unsure if you have excursions booked already but I recommend that one. We booked it on the ship too. If you don’t book an excursion beforehand, there are other things to do once you dock and there are people who offer tours.
