Sunrise Express (寝台特急サンライズ出雲 サンライズ瀬戸), a Japanese overnight train (夜行列車), is the only sleeper train that operates everyday in Japan :) Today I tried the most expensive First Class seat called “Single Deluxe (A寝台個室 シングルデラックス シングルDX)” and traveled from Tokyo Station to Takamatsu Station (東京→高松). It’s a luxurious unique and clean reserved seat that has its own washbasin and desk.
Even if you have a JR pass (All-you-can-ride ticket only for foreign travelers), you will have to pay extra for a private sleeping room. But if you take the Nobi Nobi seat (ノビノビ座席), the cheapest seat instead, you don't have to pay any additional charge. But in any case, you need to go to the ticket office and reserve a seat beforehand.
☆★☆This is what it was actually like!☆★☆
--Single Deluxe, Sunrise Express--
* So many amenities.
* A man was waiting for the train next to me. And the ring tone from his wife was "Darth Vader's Theme".
* The Single Deluxe room was much larger and cleaner than I had expected.
* Some people looked into my window from outside the train while stopped at the station.
* The train conductor is kind and professional
* It's nice to have hot water from the wash basin provided in my room.
* The staff at the ticket gate of Takamatsu Station, the last stop, is beautiful.
A challenge to visit every country in the world... "Japan" is the "1st" country that I visited out of all the 196 counties in the world.
☆How to get to this place☆

What a beautifully maintained train. I appreciate the fact that gave you lots of amenities. Smooth fast ride, quiet, departed and arrived on time. Nothing broken, no excuses, everything clean... makes the travel a real pleasure. Great job filming. Wished we had something like this in the United States.

Well, it used to be a thing in the US, the famous NY to Chicago overnight express (sleeper), it was the example for businessmen and salesperson travel between two metropolis----finish work at Manhattan office at 4 pm, get on that train, settle down in a solo room with bed, luggage space, a small restroom just for youself and a dining car serves steak and smoke salmon, and after a good night sleep, wake up at central Chicago, ready to meet your client. That was the shining example of overnight express during late 1940s-1960s.

It is unbelievable to see how there still exist people who do give a high price to cleanliness and respect towards the others. The author shows every time in his videos for example that after having a shower, the place must get cleaned for the next client. Or “say thank you to the driver”. He appreciates the pillow for being soft! I know persons who would always find a reason to criticize everything. I am impressed and I am full of hope to visiting this wonderful country one day🙏🏼 great videos ! Many greetings from Germany 🙋🏻‍♀️
