The good thing in the Philippines is that the locals speak English, even the young kids. And they are very friendly, too.

I just got back from Leyte. The WHOLE trip was stress free and relaxing. The moment I landed at L.A.X. for a transfer flight back to Texas, I immediately felt the stress. First off, L.A.X is a nightmare to navigate. Secondly, the people were not friendly, from the workers to the flyers. No one was smiling and greeting each other. Twelve years till I retire. I am counting the days!

What makes these videos so special and enjoyable is the interactions with the locals and being out away from all the touristy areas. How many times do you need to watch videos of the same mall, over priced resort, 5* hotels, etc. and no interaction with the people, I've seen it once, don't need to see it again. But these videos it's always something new and the people you meet and actually talk to are what make these great. Thanks for showing us the real world side of Philippines, not just tourist hot spots, and the friendliness of the people.

After living in Japan, China, UK for many years and visiting many other countries I have realized that while in the US you may have a bigger house, a bigger salary, a better university, in other countries even for average people the food most people eat everyday is better (and cheaper), the fun they have every weekend is better (and safer), the cities they live in are better (and more bustling), the history/culture they experience is better (and more interesting), and the women they see everyday are prettier (and well mannered). The US has positives too (great outdoors, work opportunities, diverse, friendly people) but the truth is I guess we are rather boring haha. I certainly can understand anyone who decides to live outside the US. Enjoy life where ever you are!

im in thailand now but just came from the philippines. el nido was cool but touristy. malapascua was too touristy & way too many motorbikes for a small island with non stop honking. cebu city was awesome, stayed in a high rise apt for $20 usd a night (unreal). siargao was pretty cool but, siquijor & bohol/panglao were my fav for sure. i loved just cruzin around bohol & panglao checking out places & meeting locals plus the beaches were right on & the prices in bohol/panglao were soooo cheap especially for a big plate of food with meat/veg/rice.loved it

The prices are lower, the people are friendlier, and there are many more unexpected wonders to discover. Thank you for showing us this. There is so much more to Bohol than Alona Beach. I retire to north of Sagbayan in July. I have a nice house there my Filipina wife built for us. Why don't you give us a video of the more common Bisaya phrases you have learned? It would be very helpful to many of us. I see how with just a few local greetings and thank short phrases, you become more than just another tourist to them.

Great video. You're so generous for treating everyone to halo halo. That jush glamping site is really nice, clean and affordable (unlike US). Pearl resort was also nice.

Checked out Pearl resort yesterday. Nice place to relax and chill. Been living in Dao for the last 12 months and did not know this place existed! Cheers for the video

I already missed Bohol. I was there last week I stayed at Holabay resort for 5Days. And we toured The whole Bohol in less than 24hrs 😂 from Panglao to Ubay round to Tubigon then back to Tagbilaran and Panglao. Kapoy kaayo pero enjoy.
