I traveled to Iraq! This has been something on my bucketlist for so long now and I am so excited to share my INSANE experience in this country. there is a smoothie shop owned by an iraqi in my city in fl. a group of my friends and i went there and loved it. he didnt even make us pay until after we finished our snacks, and we ate outside. so we literally grabbed a bunch of smoothies and food and just... left to sit elsewhere lol. he had that much trust in us. this really endeared me to iraqi people

One correction, all of Saddam’s palaces were not owned by him personally. They were/are all owned by the Iraqi government. His existing family, most of which are in the UAE, do not have legal claims to them.

Hey bud, as an Iraqi, I do not recommend driving yourself in Iraq lol. It gets kind of crazy. Pretty much the only danger you'll encounter is on the road. I hope someone from Basra will volunteer. I am from Mosul (10 hrs north)
