Yay. I’m going on a cruise to Alaska. I can’t afford to buy all those things at once, but it gives me very good ideas of things to bring. I’m talking about airplane travel an d a ship. We shall see. I’m also starting to use Pan Pastels, perhaps they can be included. Let’s see, Pan Pastels, soft, hard and Pencils. Yikes. Gotta do some serious planning. Maybe just use my phone eh?

So helpful! Thank you. I went on a missions trip recently to Germany and just threw hard pastels in my bag along with my pastel supports. I had to purchase a plywood board at a hardware store once there as my backing board and used a music stand as my easel. Makeshift but it worked! I can see how something like this would be so efficient in the future. Except I do not like working small so I bring the biggest supports that I can fit in my checkin luggage.

Your video is so helpful because we are traveling on Amtrak so I want to keep it simple plus I am now at an age I don't want to deal with anything heavy to carry. Just have one question, not so earth shaking but what size did you cut your backing boards and are they foam-board or gator-board?
