Mohit, Dont give false numbers to people. You have said that for 1M home, if you will pay 5% down which is 50K, you will get loan of 950K. Your EMI would be around 2K. Can you tell me which mortgage calculator do you use? As per my calculation you will have to pay around 5K per month EMI + 700-800 CAD property TAX. Please do not misguide everyone with wrong numbers.

Given your intent to list your property on short term renting websites, I would highly suggest scrolling through Airbnb to see if there are any other properties in the locality to understand about the potential cash inflow through the property. Also, if there aren’t any/many properties in the region (as supply generally follows demand) then it’s better to avoid such a massive risk incase your mortgage payments are predicated on the rental revenue. Ur idea to take a plot n construct therein is brilliant coz of 4 advantages, customization cost cutting ,quality tested n bigger land area. I endorse it out of my experience. But selection of location is not good. Go for some nearest outskirts with some additional cost coz construction cost shall remain same. Good luck beta

Don't buy a new laptop ...... Just open your old laptop from its back and clean all its dust ..... I will work as a new one . You can also go to apple and they will clean it . The new M1 laptops are not as powerful as MBP16

Why don't u and your brother build a new house in that land and settle their together It would be a big home so u can have a lot of space. Your brother can also sell his house after the construction of new one

I think bank will not give u loan in 5% or 10% to build the house ....they only give loan on ready house ...u must consult with the mortgage broker before to take any decision.....good luck
