When using your kickstand pad I use parachute cord and tie it around the handlebar clutch lever so when I lean the bike up I can pull the kickstand pad up without bending over

This also helps keep from leaving your kickstand puck, or dropping the bike while trying to pick it up.

I just welded the pad to the kickstand. Got tired of reaching down for the puck.

I’ve been binge watching all your videos for the last 2 nights. Absolutely Awesome!!! Congratulations on you and your Fathers placement on the HD website. There has to be some sort of historical significance to that achievement. Truly Amazing! You now have me for the first time in my life looking at Street and Road Glides being 6’ 6” myself. Your content has shown me that it is possible to fit with a few alterations. I can see you in the future having a partnership to have HD produce the first bike for riders 6’5”+. Introducing the “Tall Glide ST”! Thank you for all of the information and continued Blessings to you and your Family. 🙏🏾

I made the mistake of driving my bike to a Costco. As I me and my wife were walking away, I looked back only to see a Lady look directly at my bike with her now empty Cart in hand and fired it directly at my bike. Thank God I was close enough to run back and stop the Cart from hitting my bike. Needless to say I had a few choice words for her laziness in not returning the Cart to where it belonged and then fired it back at her car and asked her how that feels. She returned the Cart to the Cart holding area. I educated her on her not getting someone as patient as I am next time. People do dumb stuff. I got to get me one of those Pucks for my Streetglide. Thanks for the info

Thank you, Tall. All great advice. I"m 75, (thanking the lord - still gliding) - I do all those things and glad your sharing the info. The one other reason its good to pull the bike front tire up to the pull in of the parking spot is sometimes cars backup in the back free space behind you and can back in to your bike not seeing the bike too..

Great information Tall! I always keep a puck in the bag...and not just for soft or wet ground. I don't know how common this is because I've only had it happen once (so far). Last summer a group of us went on a trip. It was one of those "almost too humid and hot to ride days". That afternoon, we stopped for about an hour to get something to eat. The parking lot was asphalt so I didn't think anything about it when I put the kickstand down. When we came back out to the bikes, the asphalt had gotten so hot and soft that two of the bikes kickstands and front tires had melted down into it. They were leaning so bad I don't know how they hadn't already fallen over. Depending on how hot it is, I use a puck on asphalt too. Take it easy and be safe out there!

On a hot day, use your parking puck on the asphalt…it ground can heat up and the weight of your bike can cause the kickstand to dig in and the bike can potentially fall over

I always have a kickstand/jiffy-stand puck in my left saddlebag with some high vis string tied to it and I loop it around my left mirror. That way when I go to leave I just stand the bike up, pull the string to pick the puck up and toss it in my saddlebag.

I like your parking comment on kick stands on solf surfaces. Water bottle as a substitute to put your kick stand on. Living in Texas Dersert. Us bikers do park on sand surfaces at times. And it can be a problem with kick stands and the weight of your motor bike sinking in deep or even falling.
