Hey Mai I'm really glad you talked about the gentrification of NYC. I was born and raised in The Bronx, basically NY's poorest borough, and influencers moving to NY both piss me off and scare me for 2 reasons. 1. if all these rich people move to the city where does that leave all of us lower-income folk, who are majority POC, also most of these influencers moving to NY are white. 2nd for me personally I feel envious growing up in the Bronx my whole life to see these influencers just come in and glamourize NYC. Us lower-income people aren't able to do that, we can only dream of leaving the projects, and many of us are still here struggling, so it kind of hurts to see other people do it so easily. This is my personal viewpoint so I am not speaking for everyone from NYC.
