Definitely make a small software on the side and sell it. I have made quite a bit with this route. I still have a job but it was a great decision to make something on the side. One thing you can do is if you have a job and you write your own utility to solve a problem at your job, turn that into a product. If you find a need and fill it with your software it has a good opportunity for growth.

Hi @Traversy Media, could I suggest a video on adding ads to a website to generate revenue. I have had a look around a few Google Adsense tutorials, but they all seem to focus on WordPress sites. I am assuming this would be a little more complicated with my own website
