Travis Barker’s whole demeanor is ridiculously chill, but it kind of freaks me out, bc I went to High School with a dude that looks and talks exactly like him, same build, same face, same voice.. It’s trippy how everyone seems to have a doppelgänger somewhere out there. Travis was def a good JRE guest.

I underwent a forced vow of silence when I became sick l, completely paralyzed, and put on a ventilator to keep me breathing.4 months of blinking to communicate.Once for yes and twice for no and it was TORTURE.Nothing quite like your face itching like hell and I couldn't scratch it or tell anyone to scratch it, just had to lay there screaming in my head until I passed out.People don't know what utterly hopeless helpless feeling that is and I hope no one else ever has to actually experience it because it was torture on another level!!

@littlewigglemonster7691 Жыл бұрын
Id rather die I think. That sounds like actual hell
@80brax04 Жыл бұрын
@@littlewigglemonster7691 it was pretty rough, the first two times they took me off of the vent to see if I could breathe and maintain a decent pulse/ox level all I did was beg them to kill me. I begged so much I wouldn't even try or focus on breathing and they'd just sedate me and put me back on the vent. Eventually they did a tracheotomy so they could keep me in the vent but at least then I could mouth words and whisper... mostly a whole lot of curse words. I said some really nasty evil stuff to everyone,which I felt bad for later. They called it ICU psychosis. You get really sick and stuck in an ICU with no way to communicate other than blinking you tend to lose your shit for awhile lol. Other than having my son it was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. It just made me appreciate life and the smallest of actions on a ridiculously high level. I still tend to smile when I scratch an itch and pick my nose because I am just happy that I'm here and able to scratch my balls and pick my nose whenever I want.Hell, tying my shoes in the morning and being able to wiggle my toes makes me happy. It's cliche as hell but it really is the little things that make life so awesome.The majority of people take far too much for granted in my opinion. I don't wish for anyone to ever have to go through what I went through but it would make people a lot more appreciative of everyday life and all the "mundane" things they just take for granted.

Usually you are not allowed to talk, if you take part in a buddhist meditation retreat, but they usually last something like 7-21 days. I’ve done a few of those, and actually enjoyed it. No problems whatsoever. But then again, I’m from Finland, so the silence is pretty natural thing. I remember one 10 day retreat I did in Thailand. There were lots of Americans, and they were really having a hard time keeping their mouths shut. It was hilarious. 😂😂😂
