Even though this song is somewhat different than what we are accustomed to, my interpretation of it is this: To me, I feel that the writer of the song is trying to convey that we as Christians as we witness for Christ, should be willing to go" beyond the four walls of the church." Almighty God wants to go wherever His Spirit leads us. Because wherever The Holy Spirit leads to witness, there will be a great spiritual need there.

Charlotte NC, that's like our pop's in Charlotte, like uncle phi to will Smith. That's our pop's for the black young men growing up in the hood.
