@@justinhayes2194 I guess anything after Hardcore Punk in the early 80’s is ‘not real punk’ to certain people. But I think punk has always been a sensibility more than a specific sound. @Dude Sweet @Dude Sweet now this is a comment. Great job man. And well, I think Travis is doing some interesting stuff and he is one HELL of a drummer and badass, I'd largely think "breathing new life" into punk would be a bit off centre and a bit of a shallow sentiment. Just like if someone said that's what MGK is doing. I can appreciate they're doing something different musically or culturally but breathing new life into punk just doesn't seem right. Bringing attention the genre for sure. Maybe adding punk flair to hip hop/pop? I would maybe give that title to Idles, PUP, Fidlar and a few others when it comes to pushing that genre forward. There's alot more interesting things happening in punk (and has been basically forever, maybe a rough spell mid 2000's early 2010's, some stuff I love from that time, Flatliners etc) than anything Green Day or Blink can offer.

That's the pop punk sound of the 90s. I was never into that scene, i was into the hardcore punk, death metal, thrash, grindcore and nu metal scene back in the 90s admittedly there were a couple of catchy pop punk songs that i kinda liked but not many.

Reminds me of the punk rock band I was in during high school. We covered Screeching Weasel's "Dingbat". You guys punk rock it! Sounds great Travis. You're the best drummer ever. Facts.
