Thanks for always showing the high quality coaching/instruction. Purposeful practice. Each rep done with focus. Hate doing the drill/s but love the results in competition.

Doing judo makes you better at judo.

Thats actually not true at all. Doing a repetitive action for years might make you better at the action but doesn't make you better at judo as a whole.

@@TravisStevensgrappling on that topic, do you have any advice for eliminating unneeded movements during drills. I find myself adding a hitch step far to often when I'm drilling repetativly. I guess I should ask first if you think a an added step will create a bad habit?

@@TravisStevensgrappling yep. perfect practice makes perfect. Practice just makes permanent. Practicing wrong can be worse than doing nothing.
