Great video. The only problem buying an "iced out" Rolex is that Rolex will not even look at it when it needs servicing. You are stuck trying to find a reputable repair shop.

The boxes and papers are stored, they will go with the watch when purchased. They are in plastic wraps for display purposes.

Rolex also only uses "flawless" diamonds and they're very expensive. I think the diamond ypgrade on the dial of my Datejust was like $3k for .1 carat. 12 diamond "chips" at each hour marker cost that much.

Rolex would never service or repair them if you begged them to. They’re not worth anything as a watch, they have only precious gems and metals value now. The Swiss horological value is ruined.

There's definitely a sustainable market for those who buy/sell diamond Rolex watches. Not all Rolex consumers are as concerned with future resell value or "collectors" status, hence why the "Grey Market" retails who buy/sell these watches exist and thrive. "Grey Market" timepieces are 100% authentic.

TraxNYC Diamond Jewelry same. I saved up and bought the Yacht Master Rose Gold and Steel with the Chocolate dial. Set me back just over £10k but buying directly from Rolex gave me piece of mind. However if I was to ever buy 2nd hand, I would save abit extra and fly to NYC to deal with this guy due to his honesty, plus he looks like my husband so I’m bias! Blessings from the U.K. 🇬🇧

$85,000... a Skydweller is about $37,000. To ice it out, it cost $1,500-$10,000 in diamonds + labor. The absolute max value of that skydweller $47,000. The reality is the watch is really only worth $12,000-$20,000 because you added aftermarket diamonds. Rappers who say "my bussdown AP cost like $90,000" are either lying or being scammed by their jewlers. A watch cost really only as much as someone is willing to pay for it, but you aftermarket diamond watch is no where near as valuable than a plain jaine or factory set

These guys buy the watches at trade prices and buy them of people looking to sell there watches at less than what they paid then they polish them up bust them with diamonds and over charge. Plain Jane is best for investment pieces even if your wearing it daily it will still hold value.

The reason they are in plastic cases is so that they can be shown.....Go to any real dealer who sells USED pieces. Same shit. These are pre-owned. The ORIGINAL owner had them blinged out. Hes just selling what he bought. Ever buy a used car? Same shit. You can pay 250k for a new Lambo or pay 190 for a " used" one with 2k miles on it. 60k in your pocket.

Are the parts real Rolex ? If not it's a Frankenstein watch. Aftermarket bezels and aftermarket straps = hood Rolex !!! Most ppl would not be able to tell a real jubilee bracelet from a fake.... Do u homework and buy the seller and not the watch !!!

I was thinking that too, but a buddy of mine said as long as the movement is Rolex, changing the bezel really doesn't make the watch, not a Rolex.

Julian Johnston Jr. It's definitely all subject as to what's real Rolex and what's not, with that being said, if u send in a "modified" Rolex to Rolex USA for service, they will either refuse to service the watch or switch all the non oe parts back to genuine Rolex parts to make the watch a "genuine" Rolex again....

GSt: There's definitely a sustainable market for those who buy/sell diamond Rolex watches. Not all Rolex consumers are as concerned with future resell value or "collectors" status, hence why the "Grey Market" retails who buy/sell these watches exist and thrive. "Grey Market" timepieces are 100% authentic.

All you guys saying you want one from the $5000 tray. Go on Chrono 24 and shop around. I personally prefer a vintage watch. For me, there is something far more charming about the job it’s doing 40-50 years on. Anything brand new will do what it’s supposed to do. It’s testament to the quality of the watch when it still beats as it should decades later 👌🏼

Excellent....your developing into a real watch guy....my favorite from my collection is a 100 year old gold and simple ruby and diamond hour markers watch....the second hand even works! +- 1 minute /day....to me it's all the wonderful and not so wonderful memories that watch has seen,,,, all the tears all the laughs!! And lovemaking!! I always wear it at weddings and birthdays to just keep adding to its real " value"...it's so simple and beuatiful sparkles in the sun,,, I just stare at it during red light drives!!now my life is a part of it!! I wonder how many people have owned it joyfully!!???

I like the way that the watches look. But for anyone who does not know this. Rolex watches do not tick. The 2nd hand goes around smoothly. And they do not come in a plastic bag. They are handles with white gloves and you get the famous box. Go inside of a rolex store to see for yourself
