It's pretty simple. Traxxas did not communicate or warn any of the small American aftermarket companies. A few did receive somewhat of a warning from their website operators. All it boils down to is no one is buying actual Traxxas trx4m aftermarket products so Traxxas came after the aftermarket world. They don't make anything off of the trx4m and planned to make the money off of aftermarket parts. Problems is, no one wants crappy Traxxas aftermarket parts that are overpriced. So, I don't think this move will help them much 😊

A well reasoned rant Gerry! Can I just say that if anyone was thinking of burning their traxxas vehicles or smashing them up, please give them to me! I'm pretty mercenary when it comes to getting free stuff! 😂 At the very least, can those people consider giving the Traxxas stuff to others less fortunate: veterans who might want to get into RC, or perhaps disadvantaged people in their neighbourhood?

Traxass is the realistic definition of frivolous lawsuits.

A recently learned that traxxas biggest problem is when their name is on it is when you Google search they're showing up way down the list from these other. Companies products because the word taxxas is in it. actually make sense to me now. Hopefully the other companies just have to change a few things and get back on their feet.

I once heard that over the pond only one rule exist: if you don't care about your copyright, you loose it. And as long as they're fighting against others who are making money with the brand, I'm fine with it. But the fear or unsecurity of many creators is, doing unboxing, review or running videos and getting suited for only using the name of the manufactor. Here in Europe big middlefinger greeting. As long as you're not making money or doing marketing for the manufactor, you're protected by the law. So even the biggest euphoric video has to have minimum one big disadvantage about the product. For the USA I can understand no one wants to be part of the Stella Awards. Traxxas should stand up and explain in easy words, what's their intention. Otherwise they loose their fans and customers because of a misunderstanding.

As I get older I learn to avoid problems, that simple I just avoid a product altogether. Even before this drama I had my mind set on what and where to spend my money. Good video.

Because Traxxas has copied pretty much everybody in the industry but if we want to support them by making components for their vehicles they want to sue us and they've sued an unsurmountable amount of companies for stupid things like this. That's why a lot of us that have supported Traxxas from the day that they opened or just fed up with them and we would just prefer that they go away. I know I've bought Traxxas stuff since the day they came out I was always a fan I always root for the underdog for a long time they were that underdog and they did very good then they got too big for their britches. They started suing people over frivolous bullshit And people are wanting to let that go for a while but if they keep doing it and trying to find any little thing they can to sue somebody for It just gets old and it makes people no longer want to support their products. As for companies that want to sell their upgrade parts for Traxxas products if that's all they want to try to sell that's a pretty big mistake especially being the Traxxas will find a way to sue you to keep you from selling anything for their products.So they should either transition to making products for other companies stuff that aren't so Sue happy or they will go under just like Traxxas is probably going to. The old adage you only cry wolf so many times before nobody listens anymore fits this perfectly Traxxas has cried wolf so many times The townspeople are just sick of it and now the wolf is actually there and they're going to start crying wolf real bad when they start seeing their sales fall through the floor. I personally think they're losing a lot of money on their TRX4M it's not priced as competitively it's not as good of a truck as some of the competition that's out there and the only thing that makes it worthwhile is the aftermarket that supports it If that dries up and goes away nobody's going to want their products. The funny thing is if you look back in RC history this kind of thing has happened before there was another company They thought they could patent and trademark a bunch of stuff and they did for a little while and they sued quite a few companies and then people stopped buying their products aftermarket company stopped making parts for their products That company went bankrupt and then they were purchased by a large RC corporation who still keeps them around today but they don't make any vehicles They make some tires some bodies some wheels they were just consumed into corporate RC That's where Traxxas is headed

I don't really have a problem with Traxxas protecting their brand but when I did a little more research I found that the owner made political contributions to TED CRUZ!! Hahahaha after that I was like hell no!

It's no different than selling ketchup in a McDonald's parking lot and labeling it McDonald's ketchup. You'd get removed real quick. But but but, don't pick on the little guy just trying to make a living. Guaranteed if you start slinging ketchup next to the little guy. He's going to fight you. Same with the hobby. I could fill a warehouse full of Chinese knock off parts and start using all these"little guys" names in my descriptions. Price them cheap enough so you all don't care that I'm undercutting "the little guy" and you better believe I'll get the same treatment from them as they did from Traxxas. It's called intellectual property and it's protected for this exact situation. People got too comfortable and it finally caught up to them.

First of all, Traxxas is not small. What you said would make sense if they were putting out products that were affordable with there proprietary parts. They don't and there products are mid level.

Personally I believe that boycotting traxxas remains the best thing to do anyway, there are several other ways to support this little company because it makes other different models of the axial brand, something that I know that no one has ever known. axial first gen deadbolt use the same transmission gear used by the rc10 gt stealth transmition but team ae has never sued axial for this i want traxxas to know that they are damaging their own reputation and with so many other good brand choices i don't see why i would put up with this kind of action and buy from this big company 😣🤐

I got out of the hobby for 1 year, and it was a very sad year for me! The next year I spent $10'000 getting back into it. I am a Traxxas fan boy! But I seriously love all things RC related!!! Traxxas killed the Arrma Nero, and this killed me a little on the inside! It took me a while to warm back up to Traxxas!! And who knows, someday the all mighty Traxxas company might go under!! I could see Horizon Hobby buying Traxxas out because they get them selves in financial trouble... All that sponsorship Traxxas was giving out, all came to a screeching hault. If I remember it right. We'll see how it goes.

the bandwagon mentality in rc is off the chart just as there are good guys in the hobby a large percentage of them are shady af all it takes is an unpopular opinion or fall out with the wrong person and they will turn on you like a pack of dogs and although it dont keep me from the hobby it forces me to choose wisely on who i assciaote with in it the way i see it is we have courts that decide the laws not traxxas or tony and their there for all of us to follow

I’ve been saying this. Traxxas is only wanting them to change name. I don’t buy traxxas because of battery issues. I don’t like proprietary plugs but guess I’ll get a trx4m and get the adapter plug.

For me I just don't like their bully boy tactics, I have never been a fan and to be honest I have never bought one of there products because of this. Let's take Tamiya for example, hundreds of companies making parts for their models and I have never heard of Tamiya acting like this, probably because they realize it helps them in the first place. I have made and sold a few parts on my cnc machines for Tamiya models but I would never go near Traxxas as I know this would happen at some point. The bigger you are the harder you fall so they need to be careful The company that sues the most I would think is Disney or HD, I know people that have had them knocking on their doors for even putting up a CNC carving they have made on Facebook..

How bout getting the lights out of my eyes first then worry about Traxxas

I could really care less about this traxxas drama bs. I owned 1 traxxas many years ago and I had nothing but shit luck with it and never bought a traxxas after. In fact the only rig I kind of like is the trx Ford pickup they just released not long ago. Will I ever own 1,I highly doubt it. People complain about what traxxas is doing but I don't see anyone complaining that horizon hobby is buying/bought so many companies in the last few years then I ever seen. The rc hobby/community is just about having fun,wrenching and passing on knowledge to the ones just getting into this hobby.

No one was right as far as I’m concerned. It’s how they reacted that is the issue. The could’ve contacted them & said this is what we have a issue with correct it no they go right for the throat like a bully. Bullying is not acceptable anywhere there is another incident that leads me to find this not acceptable on top of this there was a dealer who had Traxxas parts but no actual RTR’s when asked why turns out they didn’t sell enough Traxxas batteries so they were banned then they ordered 10k in batteries & yep now they can carry them. Bully! I feel personally if I purchase products from them I’m promoting this behavior & basically saying I don’t care about anyone but myself which is fine in todays world for some. I’m not condemning them but they deserve the negative reactions mostly. They are not in the RC community they stand on there own & have shown such. But running a business is cut throat or it’ll be your throat cut! We all know this so there has to be a middle ground which once again wasn’t the case in the eyes of Traxxas. I’m going to support the community now is all I can say so you can read through the lines. And I can say this my next RC’s will be from companies that support & grow it. I due feel Traxxas is family oriented just like the Mafia😂

I will not be buying anymore Traxxass products from now on. And I will be calling out anyone as a "sell out" if they support them. Traxxass has never been supportive of the hobby. Never have they hosted or showed any representation at an RC event. Their own employees do not even participate in the hobby. So if your on here supporting Traxxas its only for personal gain and not for the hobby of RC.

Not to single him out but the majority of the items CCxRc sells are just rebranded Chinese items. If he actually designed, licensed and manufactured something I'm willing to bet he would be much more protective of his product

I'M an ARRMA , LOSI guy but i don't treat TRAXXAS people any different , TRAXXAS treat there customers bad not us .
