How are the revo springs doing I got all blue but the front is too soft maybe Ima increase the oil from 30 40 to 40 50

Usually it’s bearing but in my case my rear lower arms for my rustler 4x4 was bent and i didn’t even know just look at everything closely and usually replacing the plastic parts for new ones should do the trick

Hi you can get the shocks direct from traxxas. The part numbers are listed online on Rustler VXL page under 'support' tab

Oh they're not popping off.....Man this afternoon I can safely say they're not popping off. I was looking at stevo's ramps and thinking hey what if I could build a skate park ramp in my yard.....Oh it's going to be a late one...

No I went for the plastic GTR ones as a few people recommended them on the facebook page. I'll see how they hold up. Busy month of mods, video coming soon with them all and my thoughts on them. Thx for the nice comment

@@DriftomaniacsRC The gtr shocks are pfte coated and anodised aluminum. And i believe they come with 30w oil.

Jeroen as ever I stand corrected - I'm only human and sometimes (With my appalling non-reading glasses eyesight!) miss the basics! Thxs for the note on the shock oil, I've a label printer and am doing labels as we speak. Oddly I'm low on 30w! I do love just this kind of feedback as I do miss stuff, sometimes I'm just in a hurry othertimes I can't read the damn packaging. Your time to provide constructive feedback is appreciated. I learn from you guys and girls every single day!

Al ones would be good, that's why some of those redcats I'm reviewing are catching my attention. Just shot the TR MT-8e - big bore Al shocks as standard! I worked out tonight the price of my mods to date on this baby, crazy money BUT for me half the fun is in these ad ons. People say why? Why not just buy a better car in the first place? But then look at real world cars! The world would be a smaller place if no one drove modified cars!

You can go on ebay & buy 4 sets of full aluminum shocks w/ 4mm shafts for the price of this junk (not even counting the springs & oil). Plastic caps? Rly. It's suppose to be an upgrade you know. I can go on, but the 1st reason is more than enough. 1 set of those same aluminum shocks outlasted 2 Slash 4x4s & a Stampede 4x4 & are currently being used by a TRMT10e. However, "Honestly this is traxxas crap" wraps it up in a nutshell.

No worries at all but why not make a video highlighting that "These ebay shocks are better than traxxas GTR ones" (It can be done on a mobile phone), just curious as to why if you know of a better alternative you are watching a video on a poorer solution? If you hate Traxxas a lot then why watch a video on a Traxxas upgrade? As an example if you know how to drive a car why watch a video on 'how to drive a car'. See my point? This video didn't claim "They're the worlds best RC shocks" or "They're the worlds cheapest" - take it for what it is. As ever all constructive comments are welcome. Indeed if you post a valid point with a url then I'll take it out of the youtube spam filter and highlight it. So send me the link to the cheap ebay shocks vs the traxxas GTR ones. Or send me a link to the ebay ones and I'll buy them and do a comparison video. But DON'T read more into these videos than what they are, if you hate a traxxas product that much - simple answer is stop buying traxxas cars to fit them to!!!!

@@DriftomaniacsRC Hate Traxxas? Why would I hate them? I have 5 Traxxas cars, including a X-Maxx. I just think their prices are ridiculous, mostly for upgrades. There's no reason to buy them. Even the most expensive alternatives like Proline & Hot Racing are better options. Take for instance the new servos they offer: $100 for a slow 25kg~ & $150 for a 30kg~. Savox & Hitec has them completely over the barrel in that field & they're some of the most expensive alternatives as well. The dirt cheap JX servo for $20 & $25 respectively have similar specs. I put the GTR shocks back on the car when I sold it. Even the sway bars on the Rustler are HR & not the relatively poor set that Traxxas offered, came stock with my Slash, & failed on me several times b4 replacing them with HR. The Traxxas set also costs a few pennies more than the HR. I don't mind buying Traxxas stuff if you can come close to getting what you pay for & not throwing money at something you can get at a much better value elsewhere. The X-Maxx metal gear servo, for example. I bought it. It was a much needed option over the plastic gear servo & the only other options other than that involved small servos that taxed the RX to hell or cutting the chassis to fit a 1/5 servo which is crazy. Some Traxxas upgrade parts have their place but most are simple money pits.

Doing it forever huh lol, traxxas has been doing it since 1986! They are the most experienced ones!
