Traxxas Summit 1/10 its time for a slipper clutch fix :D with out! unscrewing the gearbox! :D
up next on the fix list. Traxxas Xmaxx pinion fix/mod.

A much stronger, longer lasting solution would be a Hot Racing heavy duty slipper clutch system, using your choice of aluminum slipper pads, or carbon fiber. It uses 6 pads instead of the stock one that only allows 3.

3 years, wow time flies... summit is still running good :) little less driving since we got the xrt

@Just4FunRC Yes, it does. Time escapes me from day to day and year to year like it's nothing. I didn't mean to pester you on an old video. I just wanted to put the information out there that these clutches (which are the same for the older E-Revos, Summits, and 3905/3903/3908 E-Maxxes) can be strengthened a LOT if they're ran often. The XRT is a huge RC truck. Too large for my preference. 1/7th, based on a 1/8th platform, is as large of an RC as I'd go. I hope it's a lot of fun for you. Have a good day.

Hey man, I just installed a Velineon 6 onto my summit. After 10 minutes of driving I noticed smoke coming from the transmission. Any idea what it is? I’m thinking it’s the clutch, I just don’t wanna burn it up.

hia buddy! stepping up to 6s eh? but smoke from the tranny? hmm what motor and esc did you run when it happend?

He should get Robinson Racing they have best clutch slipper it come with hard steel spurs with less parts compared to stock it work great with stock brush also great with brushless I have one on E Maxx and old E-Revo 1.0 it last long

hia toby :) been using the tools that came with rc's it gets the job done..but since then i bought a traxxas tool kit and some proper body cutters. and now i ordered some proper tools for my fpv drones inc the ts100! old screw/hex bits with ratchet driver works too. any tools you recommend to get? :D

Yeah but they kill your hands we'll see arthritis doesn't run in your family keep it up have fun with RC

@@tobydyes Thanks Toby :) since miniboss got his maxx were having a blast each and every time.... well not last time. we blew up the rc boat esc in huge fireball XD
