The new ultimate models are beautiful especially the xrt but I feel they could have done more to the Xmaxx. I was expecting them to modify the battery trays and revise the body mount and include the roof skid along with the other good changes The fact that they didn't is very disappointing. Great viewing Guy!! I was lucky to get my XMAXX Ultimate in green Thursday. It’s spectacular 😊 Only thing I changed was to the green HD upper and lower arm’s because the stock black ones are not HD!

I’m debating between the ultimate cry and non ultimate. The stock tires on the non ultimate are no good? If that’s the case, the $1500 price is worth it since 4 tires is $200 right?

😂 this is such a ridiculous take. dboots blow up 5x faster, running on recommended batteries. Sledgehammer tires require 6s and ABUSE to destroy for the most part.

All the aluminum upgrades would run somewhere around $550ish I believe (not sure if I counted the steering links in that since that doesn't seem like such a good idea to me), so if you were planning on getting most of those items anyway then the $1500 price point is not unreasonable...not to mention over and above that you get better shock shafts, servo, tires, spur and pinion gears. As a package deal though you aren't seeing the kind of discounts/value that ARRMA provides when you step-up to their EXB variants. That XRT looks really, really good.

The cost of the aluminum upgrades are far above 500$, I work at a LHS and price parts ALL day. Seems like youre lying. MSRP on traxxas hopup parts is ridiculously high, considering how affordable GPM can be.

@@JT-np1op OK internet warrior, "...somewhere around.." and "...ish" means ballpark in case you have a difficult time with conversational english. I didn't take a spreadsheet or calculator and figure this all out. I had a QUICK look at the Traxxas website and did a ROUGH estimate in my head, hence the "..somewhere around..." and "...ish." In other words, most people should be able to recognize this is a SWAG, but close enough for government work. As an LHS employee with all this information either committed to memory or at least at your fingertips, how about you be more useful than I was and take an accounting of all the upgrade parts and provide the accurate total cost. Please show your work so we can be sure that you are not lying. Also, please include tax and for those that are not local also provide shipping cost so we have a full accounting of the total expense.

I think they did a good job with the looks and all. I just think with all that alloy. Makes the vehicle that much more heavier an that’s going to be a downer cause with the added weight causes more parts to fail. But a great looking car. The Xmaxx has my same thought.

Just a way for Traxxas to get rid of overpriced aluminum parts they cant sell. Meanwhile my HPI 2wd SC Jumpshot Flux with The ProLine 1967 Ford F100 body is finished and she looks sweet and balanced and super lightweight and crazy simple to work on and clean. Guy i think im in love with this platform and it handles like a race truck drifting around like a champ on the grass.

@@joemomma707You will definitely save money buying either one from Traxxas already built, You ask are the upgrades worth it, I'm not sure if any of this stuff is worth it but its the hobby I like, and the aluminum upgrades are really nice and fit perfectly....I did an XRT in the blue accessories and a Snap-On Xmaxx with the red aluminum accessories....So is it worth it IDK but if you enjoy this hobby and have the money hey spend your money on what you want...Go for it!!!

Am i mistaken, but I'm pretty sure xrt arms are the same as the widemaxx, they don't make HD xrt arms that are beefier than stock. However, Xmaxx ultimate comes with it's regular arms, so the customer can upgrade them to HD.

@@rcguygarage no problem. Overall, unless they come out with a revised xmaxx with some key changes these are pretty disappointing to me. No roof skid or HD arms on an ultimate model is a joke. All the aluminum is them offloading inventory they could never sell because their parts are much more expensive than aftermarket. Lame

I built my own 5 full option XRT's one of each color Black with grey aluminum parts,Red,Blue,Green,Orange so they cost way more than the ultimate edition...now y'all are making me think I overpaid for all my XRT's and supported a RC mega mogul conglomerate...😢 Long live TRAXXAS

Traxxas should do a kit. Without tires,body and electronics for a good price. You can build a better truck for less money. Here in Germany the ultimate is 1800 euros. Absolut crazy.

Please help me! First RC ever. I am debating between the ultimate and the regular xrt. Are these parts worth the xtra $465? Because with the regular I have to buy the Bluetooth which is $34 and with the ultimate, it comes with the Bluetooth. I will be doing light jumps. I’m looking to drive it fast Offroad. I am not the type that likes to work on things. How much is it for the belted tires alone? $200?😢 Do I need belted tires? How

If you have the money and that's not an issue just buy the ultimate. Take your time and slowly learn to handle it. Learn maintenance, read the manual and just have fun

I like my lhs but they don’t like dealing with horizon as much as traxxas , they don’t appreciate the sales after paying full price themselves which makes no sense to me because they must get refunded the difference, probably a lot of paperwork, and they’re up towards where wealthy people are . I went in there yesterday and spent 50$ on two titanium axles lol , do I need titanium no for fifty bucks I can buy all the axles and build another arrma , so I do appreciate trying keep lhs is buis . Your guys are more practical , AND DO THE RIGHT THING , my lhs could do so much better if they were more honest and advertised sales but they really think just like traxxas , or New Yorkers”” I was going buy the new kraton but I still have a exb roller I bought on sale . @rcguygarage I believe it's on the cover for the center driveshaft but not 100% percent sure. I'm new to owning even an xmaxx so I'm still learning things about mine. I'll have to take a ride to Hobby Quarters I live in New Hampshire.

What’s sad is that you could buy a Losi 5t 2.0 for that price. The Losi is 10 times what that xrt could ever be. Just insane pricing.

Traxxas does make some interesting vehicles. Buy an xrt, then must add a steering servo, a bell crank, a new wing mount,replace the soft monkey metal gears, eventually a new esc. Really it's a 700 dollar vehicle, NOT 1400 ( in Canada). Way better value purchasing an Arrma EXB, way better build quality, no upgrades required. You can purchase more batteries ( more run time) for the Arrma, and it's still more economical than the XRT.😮

That’s why they love traxxas it really is better for lower level skilled drivers and if you’re a sender you’re not going appreciate arrma unless your a really good driver , traxxas very easy to use too , not much tunning no body clips and the main parts stay out of the elements

"it's not that bad for the price.."That's easy for the shop owner to say when he's selling it 😂..because it is. For year Traxxas said aluminum isn't as durable as their plastics..now..for 1600..I guess that's changed. Same crap esc same crap 2085x..Buy more junk for more money. Sad..and fyi..I'm in Texas, I can chunk a rock at the "factory and store"..it's all imported nothing is made in the USA. I don't have a problem with that, but many believe the opposite..just fyi.

The toughest Traxxas is all stock 💯 but lots of R/C cars are most durable out of the box.... anything I've upgraded broke....leave it stocks it will last longer for sure...

The traxxas aluminum hubs are garbage. You can only fit traxxas tires without rubbing on the hubs. Proline and Jconcept tires will rub. If you want to run the traxxas aluminum hubs, you will need to buy extended shafts.
