? Yea, great LAST rd, ONLY what about the rest of the fight? Oscar ALREADY had the Tito fight setup for Sept. So @goldengirls he CLEARLY was looking ahead.

Another that made me laugh is the crowd, clearly an Oscar crowd...theybwould scream whenever he flurried and he wasnt even landing those punches they missed or were blocked. He fought like a robot in there. Round 9, Quartey. Oscar had one clear set he got in. The uppercuts got in. Everything else was landed by Ike. Thats 7-2.

3-2 going into the 6 round, Ike is up. The 6th round both men get a knock down but Ike Wins the round he fought back brilliantly after knocking down de la hoya (10-9 round goes to ike), 4-2, Ikes wins rounds 6-9. 7-2 IKE going into the 10th, De la Hoya wins the 10th and maybe 11th could be a 10-10 round, 7-4 Ike upgoing into the 12th, De la hoya wins the 12th, you can give him a 10-8 round but ran out of gas and Ike stood the rest of the round and faught back, ref did a great job letting it go. This is what i saw.... 7-5 Ike beats de LA hoya even if you have de la hoya winning the 12th, at the worst its a DRAW, but IKes been beating him with the JAB all night long, setting the paste and being the aggressor, also threw and landed more punches. I'm a fan of de la hoya but ROBBERY happened, (116, 113) the second judge, someone needs to fire that guy or find out who payed him to have de la hoya up(did you have de la hoya winning by that much??)....unfortunately boxing has always been a sport which has had FLAWS/corruption since the BEGGINING of it and i say this respectfully since MEN go in there and sometimes leave the squared circle with half of what they were. Anyone who steps in there has my respect, JUDGES need to be better. (check out Mayweather OLYMPICS or HOlyfield OLYMPICS, or whitiker vs DE la hoya.. that was a great fight but whitiker won and got robbed or DE LA hoya vs Trinidad, DE la hoya got robbed that night) Its entertainment and truth be told not many fans will come support IKE as much as fans will come support de la hoya, Hoya has more female fans, then most fighters have male fans at this time, hence the GOLDEN BOI monicker. DE la hoya is also one of my fav fighters to be clear. His boxing style is nice, but tonight he had an off night. Respect to both MEN for putting up a great fight, but only one MAN was in control the whole night in my eyes and this NIGHT belonged to IKE.

Quartey had 2 knock downs, De la Hoya had one, and besides that all rounds were really close, that being said. . If you want to win against De la Hoya you have to knock him out !

There was no robbery. It was an exciting fight between two champions during their prime. The decision was correct on who won.

Close fights can go either way at times. If you give a swing round to the other guy it automatically changes the end score by 2 points so if there are a few close rounds it could mean a different winner. Sometimes we give the close rounds to the fighter we prefer and that greatly affects the outcome. This fight wasn’t a blowout at all regardless to what it was close

Round 10, ODH. Quartey ...was in complete control then did some weird stuff. Total waste of energy. Get behind your jab wouldve coasted the whole round. Oscar did not want to box. He stole the round just off Quartey lack of focus. ODH also took round 11. Thats 7-4 headed into the final round.

The Trinidad robbery was bad because Oscar literally ran the last few times to avoid getting knocked out. This was more back and forth and when there are a lot of close rounds it can be scored either way. It wasn’t clear enough to be a blow out or for sure. You’ll probably give the close rounds to your favorite fighter and that can make a 2 plus point difference in the end. A 116-112 can be 114-114 just by giving one swing round to the other guy. Close fights are all subjective

Round 7, Quartey. Oscar tried to flurry but took off the entire round barely threw any punches. Thats 5-2 Quartey headed in to round 8. Round 8, Quartey dominated the round. Oscar finally did some punching barely landed anything. He's not first. Not even probing with shots. Quartey the aggressor the whole round. 6-2

Mitch Halpern helped ODLH get through that rough stretch after he got knocked down. And he did the same thing during the Trinidad fight late as well. Shameful when a ref interferes and tries to affect the outcome of a fair fight.

5th round, Quartey. 6th was great action, Quartey slight edge after both scored knockdowns. De la Hoya rested after he got knocked down. So, its 4-2 going into round 7.

Round 12, I give it to Oscar. Thats 7-5 in favor of Ike Quartey. Scoring two knockdowns was cool, but Ike carried the action the whole fight. Made two mistakes getting sloppy. Still looks clearly like Quartey shouldve won. 7-5.

Quartey lost. He got dropped in the 12th and got outworked that same round. It couldve been a 10-7 round. Getting dropped in a fight that was a draw makes it no longer a draw. It was close until it wasnt🤷🏽‍♂️ youll hear the victims cry robbery in the commente though

When you knock someone down…it is usually scored as 10 7, assuming Oscar win round 11, and 12 with 10 9, and 10 7 respectively, was that enough to turn the whole fight on its head??? Clearly robbery and you should have listened to the commentary behind the fight by the commentators

Oscar gave this fight away and then almost knocked Ike out in the 12th. Ike was up by too much at that point. Judges were clearly in Oscar’s pocket after hearing those scores

@@Gus375 Hell yeah Gus. Maybe Halpern should’ve stopped it, but Quartey was still throwing. I think it was the right call. With Vargas, it had to be stopped. Oscar was throwing and Fernando wasn’t moving.
