These scenic views were shot with Mavic Air on a kayaking trip in the middle of Lake Saimaa, the largest lake in Finland. This lake is a hidden gem, perfect for kayakers. Sometimes I would kayak for hours without seeing or hearing any other boat. This time I totaled 130 kilometers in three days, and was utterly exhausted -- but happy -- when I returned to my summer cabin. Kyläniemi is a peninsula dividing the largest part of the lake into two, and a popular outing destination for boaters. Kaidanluoto is an uninhabited tiny islet surrounded by the open lake, and sometimes used as an anchorage by recreational boaters.
