The UK NHS (national health service) has released guidance for general practitioners on providing healthcare to patients fleeing the war in Ukraine.
Recognising that the first point of call for patients that are fleeing the war in Ukraine will be a GP surgery and that these patients may not have documents confirming ID or immigration, sensitivity is needed when they register for NHS services.
There are several medical factors which need to be considered in the assessment and treatment of patients which seek healthcare after fleeing from Ukraine.
