If this experiment was done in the States the result would be so different, with a group of people victim blaming the girl for wearing shorts, with a bunch of incels bring there equality or whatever like things that make no sense but I'm sure they'll say like "if she was a guy it wouldn't a problem you y'all feminists want equal rights so why it should matter" or "maybe she should date someone who got a car" this happened to a pregnant woman she was really sick and couldn't stand and men were like "why didn't you got pregnant by someone who got a car" like disgusting comments like these, and then a bunch of people who'll just completely ignore and act like nothing happened. This is such a common issue in so many countries, it actually makes me very sick and there's even reports of underage children as well experiencing this. All I can say is, don't be blind. Male or female put yourself in their shoes or even think of what if that person was your family member, instead of blind ignorance. Edit: Out changed to put, also my male or female part means that both parties can be affected by these situations as well.

When I was 14 I was subjected to even worse than this: a guy pleasuring himself against me even when I kept moving away, and another guy exposing himself in the car when he pulled close to me to "ask for directions". I'm so happy to see people intervene here, because when it happened to me on the bus nobody stepped in and I was too scared at the time to do anything more than move away as best I could (finally I and others were all so squished to one side of the bus, keeping away from the guy, I just stormed to the nearly empty other half. it was such a big move that it would have been way too obvious for him to follow. i got off shortly after). Now I would be far more vocal but I was more timid then.

@@lindaliriel That sounds absolutely horrifying to me, I hope you've gained a lot of strength since that incident. Also I don't know if this helps but, I've watched a TV documentary on victims of sexual assault or harassment. The doctors had stated medically in these situations, your brain sort of puts you in a state of shock as a defense mechanism. Which is why you have foolish people asking victims of these crimes, "Why didn't you fight back?" or "Why didn't you scream?" or even "Why didn't you try calling someone?". The doctor said that the state of shock is sometimes so strong and she herself witnessed it, that the victim often never speaks again.

This happened to me when I was in middle school. I went to school in a bus very crowded with people, I always stood, because all the seats were taken. A man (28-30 years old) molested me, he held his hand below my hips and tried to pinch me there. This happened exactly when I got on the bus at 7 a.m., to avoid this I had taken at 6 a.m. and wait at school for an hour for the start of lessons. I was very scared and unpleasant, I was afraid to tell my mother about it, but once I hinted to my grandmother, but she just told me not to stand where he was, but he chased me, no matter what I got up, I was really scared. Once a woman sitting nearby saw it, but she only looked at me condemningly and didn't say anything. I don't know why, but at that moment (I was 14) I couldn't say anything, I just fell into a stupor. Please, if you encounter such situations, do not be silent, help!

I pushed his head a few times back to his side and he kept doing it, leaning more towards me, our legs touching more and his head on my shoulder...he was all sweaty and disgusting too. Anyway, there was a young guy who was looking my direction and he saw what was going on, so he offered to let me sit next to him instead, and I immediately got up and sat next to him. I was so thankful for him~ the rest of the ride home was so much more comfortable.

This is sadly the bitter reality almost everywhere. Last year i went to a department store with my mother and while she was looking for some random items I was waiting behind when suddenly the lights went out and one of the working persons went past me while inappropriately touching my lower back. One other time there was this creepy worker who was following us in some other department store. These two incidents happened in the span of a few days. I was utterly disturbed and shaken. However i never told either my mom or anyone else about this. Even before I've been touched inappropriately but I could never speak up. It's easy to tell others to fight back but to b in that spot and to speak for yourself while feeling ashamed (even tho u haven't even done anything wrong) takes a lot of courage...i still haven't been able to do that and it hurts me so much yet it's so common and we as girls are taught to be cautious but no one wants to teach their sons how to be respectful towards the female gender. Such malicious acts can shatter you mentally and leave you with unwanted anxiety...

Now it's been 4/5 years and I am 16 now, but now I know how to deal with it. First time, it is okay to get scared but if it has happened with you again, I think you should speak up. Tell your brother if you have one or mother, and if they don't listen,call the police. It's not only about you, but you also have to save other girls from them right? I was standing in a corner of a crowded train once when this old uncle came and leaned in towards me and tried to touch me, I quickly turned around and used my bag to cover myself but accidentally hit some other guy with my bag, he got upset at first but probably realised from my expression that I was uncomfortable, instead of back facing me, he turned and faced the uncle and glared at him until more space was freed up and I was able to squeeze out to another part of the train, the guy who helped me followed me, asked me if I was okay, told me that he was getting down soon and to be careful when getting off the train and to ask for help if the old uncle followed me. Quite upsetting that things like this keeps happening but I hope everyone will learn to stand up for and help those in such situations because it really helps to ease the anxiety at least by a little, knowing that I'm not alone.

I would like to see a role reverals of this. As a male living in the UK, I've been the victim of unwanted contact from a female, and it's not a nice experience. You don't know what to do, and I just froze on the spot. I felt all hot and sick inside. With the UK being a very feminist country, no one was willing to help me or intervine. It made me feel very bad and worthless. Of course, I still take sensible precautions, like crossing the road if I notice a female walking behind me in the street, or making sure I'm sitting close to an exit on a bus or train. But it's sad that people need to do this, at this day in age. I'm so happy to see that people intervined with this though. It makes me think that not everyone is bad out there.
@applepi37032 жыл бұрын
I'm genuinely so sorry that you had to experience that. I'm sure it's hard to even bring that up with friends and family. Hence, I just wanted to tell you that every emotion you feel towards that encounter is valid. If you feel sad, angry, or disgusted, that's completely normal. It was not your fault and your feelings towards the topic are valid. I'm sorry you have to live in a place where you feel that way. You being male doesn't change the fact that the perpetrator is a horrible person. I pray you can recover from this mentally :(. You're a very strong person and I'm very proud of you for sharing this with us.
@dancoulson65792 жыл бұрын
@@applepi3703 Thank you for your kind words. It happened when I was 18. Now i'm 31. The memory does stick with me sometimes, and it has impacted me. I am moving on, and putting it behind me :) I appreciate that you took the time to reply. Thank you :)

Guys standing up for girls is really very helpful. I cant express in words how grateful we feel around such guys. When we stand up for ourselves or our fellow woman we are always threatened by what might happen to us for not just staying quiet.
