I was opening for a fellow musician friend one evening, by whom in many ways this song was inspired, and as I was writing my set list, something felt like it was missing… I needed to communicate a feeling that wasn’t present in the songs I’d lined up for the evening. It was a calling. For love, for understanding, for holding… a pretty universal theme, but I needed to drive it home that night.”
