Trekology Aluft 2.0 Pillow - Long term review, thought and a few tips

4 жыл бұрынHI Guys, today this short little video is for the Trekology Aluft 2.0 pillow. I have slept on this for 30 nights now and its amazing. I didnt have the original version but was looking for a pillow as not happy with what I had, I saw a review for the original Trekology pillow so went hunting, and this one came up as well - its £2 more in the UK for the version 2, so did some research, not too many reviews online for this yet, but went for the newer version.
I have slept on this for 10 nights and boy o boy, it ticks a lot of boxes as I talk about in the video.

I have version 1, it didn't have any dots on the back but I solved that issue with a few dots of silicone glue. It's super comfy and that valve is brilliant. Inflation and deflation is effortless. If it ever breaks I'll most certainly buy another. They are very reasonably priced and when pitted against some much more expensive inflatable pillows it stands head and shoulders above the numerous ones I've tried and not been comfortable on. Great review video.

Great review and because of it, I'm buying one! I have the original too, but you can never have too much camping gear! :-)

So true, camping I find is something you start looking at idiots like me who are now gram counting, think they are muppets, buy stuff that does the job, then over years refine your gear and upgrade and upgrade till you get close to the perfect pack, gear and pack weight, then that's where the real fun begins, you try different things just to improve 10%. The Trekology pillow is in that category for me, I thought I had the perfect pillow then this one came along. Nothing has come close to it yet.

That was the big thing for me and made such a massive difference from night 1, I was actually surprised I didn't wake up playing where is my pillow game.

Oh I knew I know the logo, I watched your amazing detail fill review of the FjallRaven Abisko lite 2. Watching that video cost me £500 😁😁😁 it is an amazing tent. Thanks for sharing.

Great review thanks for sharing. I have seen this pillow and may yet get one, mainly because of pack size and weight. I use a rectangular sleeping bag with hood and find that putting the pillow inside the hood eliminates pillow movement. Personally I never fully inflate the pillow.

I am not kidding, I have had 4 buddies all buy the pillow, and they say they have had the best nights sleep on them, one of them has tried well over 8 different pillows. It's amazing the difference the non slip dots and strap make. I use a quilt so can't put a pillow in the hood

@@Daveyboygoeswild Well further down the line it was a toss-up between Trekology and Jokel.... and at the final second I chose Trekology over Jokel. It was with me within 26 hrs... amazing dispatch. I already have a mat from them so have a matching set now. Your review probably just edged it so thanks

I've got the same pillow and matching mat, not tested them out yet, the strap that goes around the mat looks a good feature 👍atb

Ive got that pillow and in my own experience that strap doesn't hold it brilliantly. It stops it sliding from side to side,yes, but still slides upwards and off the end of the mat as those dots on the bottom are redundant. That's just my honest opinion.
