Top ten Borg ships: Well, there is the Borg Cube, err.... there is the Borg Sphere, errr, did I mentioned the Borg Cube already?

The Borg only sent 1 cube in First Contact because that's all they needed. They did assimilate all of humanity. The Enterprise E had to go back and FIX the timeline. They HAD lost. Humanity was only saved out of sheer luck both times the Borg came for Earth.

I am a HUGE Borg fan. My top five ships would be...5. Borg Probe as seen in Star Trek Voyager Dark Frontier. It's compact and freaky to see it suddenly turn and head for Voyager.4. Borg Sphere. Lovely ship. Small but sinister looking.3. Borg Tactical Cube. Intense looking!!2. Borg Cube. The classic cube is truly awesome and fearsome!!1. The Borg Queen Diamond Ship. Extremely sinister looking and very scary!!My honourable mention would be Unimatrix 01. That huge Borg City in space was jaw dropping terrifying and any ship that dared approach it was in for a lot of trouble!!!I absolutely LOVE the Borg, I think they are the best sci-fi alien race created in any show, movie, etc. They scare the hell out of me big time and I want more More MORE!!

I always assumed the assimilator wasn't a Borg-designed ship, but an assimilated alien vessel that they found valuable for purpose-specific missions. The cubes were always all-purpose ships, so something like a purpose-driven other ship makes sense in my head.

Hypercube may be what they use to make the Transwarp conduits.

Can't believe there was no mention of the original cube from TNG. The best Borg design by far. A cube, plain and simple. No armour or other add-ons needed.

And here is a theory about the Borg Type 03 (rogue Borg) ship: what if it isn't an original Borg design, but an assimilated ship, modified by the Borg? That would explain why we never saw another.

The hyper cubes could be massive shied generators that when they come together it could protect a planet or complex.

Always wonder with the fusion cube if you could keep adding layer upon layer of cubes?

Although the Borg Tactical Cube is smaller than the regular cube,it is more powerful.

I would have chosen the Fused Tactical Cube from Armada 2 as my top 1 as well

I just like the original cube... Nothing too fancy, just imposing and destructive.

I'm just a fan of cannon designs myself. I like the original cube, the sphere and the Type 03 mostly.

I always wondered if the "Renegade" Borg ship was truly built by the Borg or if it was captured by Lore's group after their separation from the Collective given it's radical departure from the typical Borg design. Not sure if Lore's small group would have had the resources or time to design and build a completely new ship. Just IMO.

Renegade while it was the assimilator in the games in the show It was supposed to be an assimilated ship from an unknown species, not built by the Borg.

my fav had to be the Artic destroyer from Enterprise as it was the ship used by the borg in the only encounter vs Capt. Archer in all of enterprise and it was good to see them that early being dangerous as Anika's assimilation date being before official first contact with the borg and Shelby being an expert with the enterprise being the only encounter with the borg at the time i think the franchise needed an encounter to make both events make sense and between the movie first contact and the enterprise episode Regeneration it solved one of the biggest critiques i had with start trek TNG and voyager.

Borgy Fün! it sounds like a Swedish night club, no?My top would have been the renegade, I just really like the asymmetrical design which you don't see all that often in the trek universe. Another great top ten, I wasn't familiar with some of these ships not having a lot of experience with the trek games. So I love the trek yards episodes where I learn something new, especially when its about ships!

Look wise I really love the look of Enterprise era Borg ships, as seen in ST: Legacy. May look old but they're still as powerful as a Ambassador class in the TNG era.

My favorite Borg vessel is the Borge Support Vessel from the Borg Red Alerts on Star Trek Online. Just a shame those were removed after they released Temporal Agents.

the normal cube is 3km cubed but i believe the tactical cubes are actually smaller still fleet sized as a single ship 2.2-2.5km varying more i believe.

When are you guys doing more top 10s? They are fun to watch.

in STO the Renegade 1 ship is also known as Hughe's Flagship.

I like the Borg Spindles as an anti-Species 8472 vessel which can literally proper itself through fluidic space, though I doubt that it is canon I still thought it was rather a clever design to take the simplicity of the Borg with an interesting twist which takes into account the unique properties of fluidic space. I'll post a link to it in a separate comment.

The USS Voyager encountered many Tactical spheres, they were not the normal ones. being they gave Voyager a lot of trouble.

The Borg do kill in Star Trek Destiny. At that point they give up trying to assimilate everyone and go just for mass destruction.

The wqeakness of the fusion cubes is they lose so many crew when they get hit by any weapons. I actually defeated numerous fusion cube users by sending a single or two sovereigns with the reflector shield at them. When hit with their own weapons, destroying the two sovereigns, they end up killing the ship's entire crew with their own weapons. Assuming the ship survived, I would then capture and recrew the ship myself and send it back at the player, with backup.

So the Borg Hypercube looks like a reference to Doctor Who and Portal, Doctor Who in the name Hypercube because in Doctor Who hypercubes are the last wish of a dying Timelord, and Portal in the fact it looks like a black and green Weighted Storage Cube

Funny to hear you guys talk about whether the hyper cube is real, or not. I'm a big fan, but it's funny how it's all fiction. LOL

It's an unpopular oppinion, i know, but i generally prefer keeping things canonical, which is why i found the idea of Top 10 Borg Ships... an interesting choice :D a bit sad to see that the Borg Scout didn't make it on either list.

you talked about how much bigger fusing more cubes would be... a 3x3x3 would be 27 cubes, a 4x4x4 would be 64 cubes a 5x5x5 would be 125 cubes .... and if they really wanted to just make a cube that could just assimilate an entire galaxy, a 10x10x10 would be 1000 cubes. every borg cube is 3000 m, the SUN is 1,300,000 km. 1000 cubes stacked would be 3,000,000 meters. so, a 10x10x10 fusion cube would be about 1/4 the size of the sun

Ok I don't know what that odd cube is either but I'll makes something up and say that it helps makes and sustains the Transwarp conduit network. My Fave is the Pyramid - that is very non-canon mind you. That Renegade vessel is like it's in the wrong Universe it looks like it belongs in Star Wars not Star Trek.
