Trenching for our Well Water Line

Trenching for our well water line was no easy feat. At first we had trouble finding the outlet underneath the foundation and then we ran into a LOT of rock when digging. The rocks seem to be endless on our property. Nothing a mini excavator and a digging bar can't handle though!

Doing all this before your 30s...impressive and smart. And Happy birthday Alex. BTW: Those rocks you dug up will make nice landscaping elements.

Thanks! I really enjoy learning about construction and it has been a great experience. Obviously it can be challenging at times but overall it's totally worth it. We are hoping to use some of the rocks for landscaping so if you have any ideas, let us know!

I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I like your project and videos very much and I've learned a lot already. Thanks. By the way, if your rocks really are schist, they would be metamorphic rocks. If they are sedimentary rocks then they are likely shale, sandstone or limestone.

Gotcha! I'm going by what the sewage enforcement officer thought, he said schist but its probably my error calling them sedimentary. Their brown color and ease of fracture made me think that. Geology is obviously not my wheelhouse haha
