Dulce de Leche Cheesecake
Dulce de Leche is Spanish for "Sweet Milk" and it is a caramelized milk. There are 2 ways to make it; the first one is to slowly heat the milk and sugar for a period of time and you have to keep stirring it until you achieve the right consistency. The second one is you will just boil a can of condensed milk for 4-5 hours over medium heat. Dulce de Leche is best paired with bread and coffee but it is also commonly used for toppings or fillings for desserts.
For todays video we will make a Dulce de Leche cheesecake. This recipe is very simple you can use your own cheesecake recipe and then just add the dulce de leche.
Crust:
200g graham crackers, crushed
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 stick butter/margarine, melted
Filling:
450g cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp gelatin, clear & unflavored(soak in 1/8 cup water for 5min.)
1/8 cup hot water
740ml all purpose cream, chilled overnight
300ml condensed milk, chilled overnight
1 can(300ml) dulce de leche
XL leche flan, sliced
