Here the top 10 of the rarest eye colors in the world
-Heterochromia
Eyes of uncommon color call the attention, but it would be even more rare to see a person with eyes of different colors.
-Central Heterochromia
This is a kind of heterochromia, also known as cat eyes and can be considered even way rarer than the last one.
-Red
Vampires might not exist, but at least the red eyes that characterize them do.
-Black
These eyes are characterized by a dark iris, almost impossible to differentiate it from the pupil.
-Violet
Since it’s an uncommon color, urban legends trying to explain the origin of this colors were made, one of them is the Alexandria’s syndrome.
-Silver
This is probably one of the hardest colors to believe it actually exists, silver eyes are a reality and although they’re similar to blue eyes, from a genetic point of view, they have different hues.
-Green
Only 2% of the population have this kind of eyes and the females are the ones who usually possess them.
-Amber
Color honey eyes can change from yellowish to golden or copper, which can be found between hazelnut and green colors.
-Blue
According to studies from the professor Hans Eiberg, blue eyes we caused by a single person coming from the Black Sea who suffered a genetic mutation between the years 6 000 and 10 000.
-Hazelnut
Don’t mistake this color with the dark ones. This weird tone is between green and brown, it must not be confused with the heterochromia either.

I have had heterochromia for as long as i can remember, but, many times, most people do not notice it. It's always been funny to have someone who has known me for years say to me "Did you know you have 2 different color eyes". My reply has always been, "Yes, I couldn't decide whether to choose my mother's (Hazel) or my father's (Blue), so I chose one of each".

It's really Iceland. I have extremely light green eyes with a blue outer ring. I didn't understand why I have the ring but I have looked more closely into my eye color and a majority of people with my eye color (green) are in Iceland. At least that is what I have read elsewhere.

My later father had heterochromia. He was a very handsome man and his two different colored eyes made him even more good looking. My eyes are hazelnut. My husband’s blue. We have four kids. One has light green eyes, one has emerald green with a splash of amber and two have blue eyes.

About the red and violet eyes in albinos, most albinos (myself included) actually tend to have regular colored eyes, but if you see red or violet eyes it's because their actual eye color is clear or clear with a blueish tint. All you are actually seeing the blood vessels in the back of their eyes

Huh, when I was born I had really intense Heterochromia with my left eye being dark brown and my right eye being very blue. Now that I'm way older my left eye has stayed the same but my right eye has changed a little and has central heterochromia, with a part of it being brown and a little more being blue. nice

i have amber eyes with a copper tint. I'm from southern Asia and no one in my family really possess light iris like mine. No I'm not adopted. But sometimes it's really annoying when people stare at me when I'm at public. Also people won't hold eye contact with me but stare back when I'm not paying attention to them. I love my eyes and do embrace my uniqueness but man , there are struggles.

I have blue eyes. What makes them blue is light scattering. It’s the same light effect that makes the sea look blue. There are 2 layers to the eye that produce pigment, an inner and outer pigment. In blue eyes, the inner layer is brown (normal pigment) and the outer layer is clear. So technically, my eyes are clear ;) But you see them as blue. If I could choose I’d go for red eyes. I’d always loved red eyes, LONG before any of the vampire nonsense. I just find them very beautiful.

I walked into the DMV when I was a teenager and had to fill out paperwork. I asked "Mom, what color do I call my eyes?" Mom said "They're hazelnut." I said "Thanks Mom." I get to the window and the DMV lady says "All your paperwork is in order, but you can't use hazelnut as an eye color. You have to fix it. What color are your eyes?" Mom says "Try hazel green." DMV lady says "That won't work either." I finally say "Fine, my eyes are hazel." DMV lady not picking up on the disgust in my voice "That works, thanks!" So much for accuracy.

I’ve got hazelnut colored eyes but I don’t think that’s unusual because a lot of people have these color eyes, just like me, who are caucasians from Cuba. What’s strange is that my wife always tells me that I have blue eyes, while others think that my eyes are green, and others brown. Whenever I’m filling out a form, and I’m asked what are the colors of my eyes, I write “green “ because there’s no option for hazelnut, and that’s the color that I think it’s closer to my eye colors.

I love my clear light green eyes. The drawback is light sensitivity, so I use sunglasses during the day when it's sunny outside. My advantage has always been sharp night vision!

Azha Playz actually, the iris of the eye cannot be black. this is because the pupil is black and would not be distinguishable if both parts were black. So really, you just have really dark brown eyes.

Fun fact: The color of the iris don't mean anything. Here's an example: A person with only black pupils In their eyeballs Doesn't mean They have vision loss. A person With black eyeballs and red pupils Doesn't mean they're evil. I have brown iris which is the most normal common eye color.

I have Central Heterochromia and never knew it. It started developing after I hit puberty. All my siblings have eyes that changed color as they got older too! So My eyes are a tuquoisy color on the outside and amber/brown on the inside. My kid's eyes are starting to change color too!

David Bowie didn’t have Heterochromia.. He had anisocoria (one pupil more dilated than the other) due to his friend punching him in eye at school.. This caused him to only look like he had different coloured eyes.

The most amazing eye color I have seen is crystal blue. His eyes sparkled like a crystal with bright white flecks. They were mesmerizing. He was almost embarrassed being stared at! They were like rare gems and I think most people would love having those eyes.

My light hazelnut comes when I cry ,but if I’m tired or hungry, there brown but if I’m just feeling normal or happy or any good emotions, they are normal hazelnut. When I’m mad, they get really dark. So I have emotional color changing eyes!

Both of my parents have brown eyes. Understandable since my father is African American and my mother was Italian and Irish. My 2 sisters that my mother had with another black man both have brown eyes. My youngest sister that my father had with his second wife who is of Irish and English descent has eyes like mine,though her mother's like my father's eyes are brown. my sister and I have turquoise colored eyes,that fade between grey green and blue. they always have a grey ring around the Iris and gold expanding from the pupils. My 28 year old daughter has silver eyes. Her mother is African American. Rare? certainly. Attractive? I hear it often. Totally F'n useless. All of us are blind as bats, my youngest sister my daughter and I. I'll trade you for your brown eyes

I had blue eyes then my eyes turned a yellow brown or amber color. My dad had brown eyes. My mother had an extremely rare eye color, blue green. I got a brother with green eyes, a sister that had green eyes that turned hazel and, a brother with brown eyes.

Bowie did not have heterochromia. He had Anisocoria which is a condition where one pupil is more dilated and can be permanent due to genetic reasons or from injury. Bowie's condition was due to a fight he had as a teen which scratched his eye and left the pupil in one eye more dilated.

FIY David Bowie did NOT have heterochromia, but anisocoria, one pupil bigger than the other. His left pupil was permanently dialeted. He was blue eyed.

My highschool English teacher had lavender eyes. She was a pretty, very tall, thin, old lady, with bright white hair. If she had albinism, no one noticed or cared. But it did seem like she was probably considered quite the looker, when she was younger.

I have heterochromia where one eye is green and the other eye is brown in the middle and blue on the edges. The mix of brown and blue makes that eye look green, so, at a distance, my eyes look plain green. The color listed on my drivers license has changed a few times though because I let the person issuing the license to decide on what color to put. It's usually green, but I've also had hazel and blue. If people ask what my eye color is, I just say green.
