Damn…..I stalled out 93 or 94 mentally I’m still there. I’m 47 now and I’m beyond fucking lost. In my head I’m still that barely 20 angry lost goth/industrial girl I was then.I made it through opioid addiction so at least I got that.My own parents couldn’t manage that. Damn I pine for those old days. NIN was the only thing that kept me alive back then. Trent is amazing. So forward we go….. damn I miss those days. Sorry to rant……

quite a few years back someone at the local college was just playing on the piano the whole set while i and a few others listened. it was amazing and to this day i wish they made alot of the halo's on just piano.

I grew up in a working class family. Always had the necessities, but not much beyond that. Life was hard. I was also a kid in love with a high school sweetheart… but we were both too young and that led to a lot of dishonesty on both ends. This song (something I can never have) defined my teenage years. And it still hits as hard 25 years later. Masterful.

Jille R...I’m a musician and write loads of songs. It’s what I do. But TRs Genius is beyond me. You don’t learn that...I haven’t anyway and I’ve been playing and covering NIN songs for 3 decades now. And his voice perfectly fits his music! Once in a lifetime true artist where all the start have collided and we are gifted with TR. I bet he’s really boring to have a pint with though. Like talking to a sound scientist about Doepfler and Euro racks and wires and voltage and oscillators and LFOs and envelopes and filters and modulation and automation and bussing the fx tracks through sound generators and processing the live guitars. I would find that fascinating but if I was a bank manager I would be very lost.

A Y You are exactly right. Ijus had the greatest flashback known to man watching this clip. This is no shit, me and my best friend was luckily forced to go to work with his dad finishing up some trim and paint work in early November of 1994 In the Garden District in New Orleans. We were both 13 years old not even knowing who Trent Reznor or his band were. His home decorator asked us would we like to go take a tour of his mansion and we said why heellll yeah!!.. As We Came Upon the studio which was too big ass20 ft Oak wooden doors Trimed with beautiful fleur-de-lis and satanic like designs and such. I can vaguely remember her saying before we took a peep "they're setting up for a studio performance and recording so shhhh"and we watch them for a whole two minutes or so and the drummer and acoustic guitarist had the same exact clothes on. And the drummer freeze had a big ass pitbull or Bulldog I don't know a hundred percent.But anyways so on and so forth, she brought us upstairs to Trent's room knocked on his door he said "come on in Teresa" and he was sitting on his floor going through some old CDs and Records in his pajamas, he got right on up, came and shook her hands and sad are y'all doing fellas with a smile.He seemed like the coolest fella in the world.He Gave us some downward spiral and classic NIN logoed t-shirts and two or three CDs each signed by him and I unfortunately lost them. My friend still has the shirts but he listens to country music now lofl..I don't tho.. but man I tell you what this clip has made my night knowing that I was there on this same day that they recorded this 100 percent No Doubt. I'm from Bay st. Louis Mississippi which is exactly 60 minutes away from there. Nine Inch Nails is by far one of the most talented Ginuwine ,purest groups Etc. Trent Reznor is one of the most talented musicians out there I am so glad and lucky I was a teenager who grew up in the 90s. Sorry for the illiteracy I'm from Mississippi.lol. I thought I just share that with you ..You brought back the greatest flashback ever
