Lungo il fiume, parco naturale del fiume Sile a Treviso.
Le alzaie sono gli argini sovrastati da una stradella in terra battuta da dove i barcaroli con lunghe corde trascinavano ("tirar la singia") i burci (barconi per il trasporto delle merci) per risalire il fiume. A volte, nei tratti più difficili dalla corrente più forte, venivano utilizzati buoi o cavalli.
Una passerella di legno sull'acqua, sulla sponda destra a Casier, attraversa dei canneti dove si trova il "cimitero dei burci". Poco oltre si possono vedere sull'altra sponda dei grandi silos e il grande mulino di Silea, ora tutto in abbandono.
L'area è suggestiva ed interessante, con atmosfere da archeologia industriale e quei drammatici ruderi di burci.

Along the river, natural park of the Sile river in Treviso (Veneto, Italy).
The towpaths are the embankments dominated by a dirt road from where the boatmen with long ropes dragged ("pull the belt") the "burci" (large wooden barges for the transport of goods) to go up the river. Sometimes, in the most difficult stretches of the strongest current, oxen or horses were used.
A wooden footbridge over the water, on the right bank in Casier, crosses reeds where the "burci cemetery" is located. A little further on you can see on the other side of the large silos and the large mill of Silea, now completely abandoned.
The area is suggestive and interesting, with an atmosphere of industrial archeology and those dramatic ruins of "burci".
