Jay Shetty and Trevor Noah had a conversation on the show, where Trevor asks Jay to describe himself in one word as part of a segment called "The Many Sides To Us." Jay responded with "Mercurial." Trevor asked Jay to elaborate, to which Jay explained that the term described his ADHD and how it affects his thoughts, ideas, and processing time. He also talked about the negative impact of society's limited understanding of mental health and how it has reduced it to rote terms and oversimplified ideas. Jay also mentioned that he is consistent in terms of being available for his friends and that he has learned to accept and understand his Mercurial nature.

Trevor Noah is an illustration of Ubuntu, the South African definition of interdependent humanity. Many African countries that share a Bantu soul have the same word in their own language.

Trevor Noah's humanity gives me joy and hope. There are more adjectives I could use, but these will have to do for now. 🤗

A beautiful metaphor . You call it fertilizer, I call it transformer. Food association is exactly the same. Food as a metaphor for life experiences that we can learn and grow from. If you have the right attitude you'll learn and get wiser from both the positively and negatively perceived experiences.

So much to think about. I even rewatched some parts. I really admire the strong analogies Trevor had for his thoughts

Amazing discovery about Mr. Noah's personality. His special law though, would be mind-blowing when activated.

I appreciate this unique insight @Trevor. I never thought about ADHD or what I was labeled "hyperactive" before ADHD and it took years as an adult to reconcile the duality of my state. How you framed this really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing

This made me think i need to research hell alot about my brain as i was dyslexic and my brain don't work the way other people's do. I do struggle with alot of things without saying or showing with time i just find those things n keeps on practised on it so that no one my weakness. So yes now people don't know that i am or was dyslexic untill i tell them. But to understand myself better i will research about this more.

One thing is for sure, Trevor Noah is an extremely intelligent and witty man. After this whole interview, I am beginning to wonder... who is more of a Monk here? Jay or Trevor? I think it is Trevor- perhaps a notch above Jay- because I am presuming he did not have that direct monastic experience like how Jay was fortunate to have but his answers were way too profound, especially that last one on bank account. Stunning to say the least. It is just incidental that he is a comedian. This guy is on his way to self-realisation.
