I have never been excited to ride a Pre 65 bike but this thing just rides better than most modern bikes. With an enormous price tag, this thing really is worth its weight in GOLD.
Crazy times as we fire up a monster machine that dominated this year's Scottish Six Days Pre 65 event.

The beauty of these old bikes is they will never go out of date like modern bikes do , cool video I bet these pre 65 guys have a lot of fun on their old thumpers

Crikey that old Ariel is quite something! I rode one in original guise the other day and it wouldn't touch a section like that. The brakes were like a suggestion, suspension had no damping, 1st gear was quite fast. Absolutely amazing to see what the mods have done for it!

You say to share the video, but no-one else i know is into trials and are probably sick of me banging on about trials anyway way. Other wise i would. Nice job on the Brit shock, more classics and retro please.

A friend of my late father had an original Miller HT5, apparently he was offered a blank cheque to sell it back in the day and turned it down!

I remember competing a local trial a few years back and they had a classics class running the sportsman sections. Mick Grant (ex 1970's works Kawasaki road racer) was there (minus his moustache) riding his Ariel, his bike was trick AF, it was beautiful just like this one, he rode it brilliantly too. It was great to see and hear it thumping through the sections...

Great video, thank you! I know you read comments and i have an idea of a video I'd like to see you do... Entry level trials bikes and what theyre capable of in the hands of an expert level rider, so maybe early to mid 2000s 125 or 200 someone getting into the sport might be looking at.

my dad had an HT 5 Ariel, when he stopped riding trials back in the 60's he sold for the princely sum of five pounds, and kicked himself about it right until he passed away . bet the buggers riding it now though !!

Pre-65 my arse... in 1965 trials bike had road bike suspension, not modern internals.... I've ridden trials, enduro and been riding since I was 11 years old, I don't agree with modern modifications to 'Pre-65' Ha... bikes.... by the way, I'm 63...
