Well, this is basically the "Trial Along" version of the "Bedroom Level Crawler" footages. BUT, NOT A COMPARISON OR A SHOOTOUT THING!
WAH ALL THE WAY..... ROCK ON!
JUST TRYING OVER and SEE HOW IT GOES ALONE OR WITH THE MIX!
I HOPE IT WORKS!
Here is the deal of this event:
Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster through Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue, RMC10 Wah, 1969 Vox V846 wah with El Capistan Delay.
Play along with the funky backing track is just to help you to give an idea.

Further goes to prove that what sounds better by itself doesn't always sound better in a mix.

Vox all the way!!! In the mix is all that matters. This is about making music. I evaluate all my gear on stage with a band before it gets a place on my board.

Vox has an incredible vocal sound with a less rocking range. Amazing pedal.

You really know how to work the wah pedal. The wah really is an instrument all by itself.

Sure the wah it is.... the wah is one of the most organic effect of all, along with the fuzz .... So glad you liked it. Cheers and all!

I have the early (white) version of clyde deluxe, which is also a great wah. The think I like most about the RMC10 is its clean and well pronounced wah effect. Can not go wrong with each one.

Nice playing and demo, I loved the tones! Can you explain a bit on what you mean about the Vox having less wah range? I think I have an idea of what you mean, but just want to be sure as some people describe things differently. I've read that some people feel the RMC10 has a "narrow" sweep, where most of the wah happens near the end towards the toe position. I believe this has been said about vintage Vox wahs as well, so it makes sense that the RMC10 would be that way. Also, would this "less wah range" apply to the Vox wahs that were used by Hendrix and SRV? Thanks!

Thanks for the comment and the question. What I meant was that the vox have it’s less range due to it’s physical capability of sweep or rocking. Hence the pot on vox can not be rolled fully by rocking from heel to toes. I hope this helps. ✌🏻

@@Bluesman Thank you! So the Vox casing itself physically limits the sweep? That's interesting. I've never seen a vintage one up close. Do you know what "Italian" model the RMC10 is supposed to be based off of?
@Bluesman
@Bluesman 3 жыл бұрын
@@xderiwx Truly speaking I do not know but it is said to be voiced after Hendrix’s live wah sound which is cleaner than his studio wah sounds. Think of Band Of Gypsies.

@@xderiwx I actually asked this question to my guitar shop recently I was looking at the RMC wahs also. If I recall our conversation correctly he mentioned that the original vox wahs were made in Italy or something? Or that the person that invented the wah was living in Italy and vox acquired them or something?

Both wah pedals sound good. The RMC sounds a little sweeter. Was the inductor stock in the Vox wah. I have an early Crybaby and the inductor in that was rubbish. The later fasel inductors sound much better.

Thanks for the comment. The RMC 10 sounds great. It has this nice clean sound with a great tonal range. The inductor in Vox is stock film can type which also sound great for my taste the vox has a less range both in physical and tonal sweep range.
