Personally, I would consider starting with the content, then move into the sales pitch later. It's really hard for me to get through your intro when it feels like I'm starting an infomercial.

There is no content anymore. Just advertising. His best times were when he was keto. He exploited the diet and nutrition to get fast, then he got cosmetic surgery, moved to the 1% area of Canada, and started doing drugs. Then he lied, got fat, and is trying to exploit the wealth of the community that he no longer races in. So yeah. ....Taren was injured his entire attempts at training hard. I wouldn't trust anyone who can't train well and not get injured.

@@getitdone252 the point is that I feel he could be more effective. Look at other similar KZfaqrs. They build big business selling stuff but are content first. I’d argue that his numbers speak for themselfs.

Hey Taren. Love your videos. Question...I wear a Whoop and track my recovery very closely especially, my heart rate variability or HRV. I notice that my HRV is always between 17 and 30 unless I take a couple days off and then it goes up to 50-75 and I really notice I feel better when my HRV is higher, but I'm training for an Ironman and can't take off three days a week. What are your thoughts? I hope to hear from you. Cheers!

Naturally Taren didn't respond. Sounds like you need to focus on your recovery habits more. Focus on eating whole foods, staying hydrated throughout the day, and sleeping a sufficient amount. Sleep is where your body does most of its recovering. Whoop always releases articles talking about healthy recovery habits and what you can do to get better rest. Hope this offers a bit of insight.

2.5hr run and 1.5hr run in the same day??? Canova's special blocks (designed for the best marathon runners in the world) don't even have that much time on feet in a single day. Anyways forget the content IMO the general order of the schedule seems little messed up. You'd be better off putting that steady swim Monday since if the athletes were to make it through the 7hr saturday + 4hr run sunday that you described putting a steady bike the day after makes no sense. Put the swim there so can have day off the legs, and also then you avoid having what looks like 4 days off between swims (here it has swim Wed and Fri, so no swim Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues). 4 days off between swims for new swimmers who have little to no feel for the water wouldn't be the best idea

Hey there it seems like you know a lot about training. I’m training for my very first Ironman in October. I have a question. Can I use spin bike at the gym for my normal indoor training? I have a dumb trainer in my garage and it’s pain in the butt to replace training tire every time when I spin on dummy trainer. My buddies are telling me I have get one of those wahoo smart trainers and I don’t see the point of getting it. Thank you
@FrankSorbaraTriathlon
@FrankSorbaraTriathlon 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ayoj503 i would train on a bike similar to the one you plan to race on so would go the dumb trainer route. while a wahoo will dramatically change how you train (in positive way) it's not 100% necessary. the "dumb" trainer can work fine too. could actually ride it on your normal tires but will for sure wear them down little quicker. maybe an option could be buy a super cheap used wheel (like 20-30$ ) mount a cheap tire onto it and then will be easier to just switch the wheel altogether when you want to ride the trainer. would be easier then changing the tire altgether. as said could stay on same tire for both trainer and road it will just wear it down littler quicker

@@Porezlol Hello, the program has several different plans to choose from depending on what your are training for. I was just trying to show that there are many other plans out there that are much less. I admit that when I saw the video, it looked awesome for what it did. I just thought it seemed a bit much price wise...just a thought

@robertchester1596

A true beginner shouldn't be doing a Ironman. Start by doing Triathlon and learn the process and learn how your body adapts to certain workouts. There is no such thing as this progam is better than a different program. I've seen where a athlete has only done a max 2 hour run for an Ironman and done sub 9 hours. I'm not criticizing the idea. But even if you have a coach, you should be the one that is monitoring your training and how it effects you
