I just realized that as an American, it's really hard to surprise us with new things. We've spent our entire lives being constantly shown new and novel things, we're desensitized. It is lovely to see people who can still demonstrate wonder at the world around them.

Mr Chowdhery didn`t have to say a word to let us know what he thought about the first bite. That little head shake and the roll of his eyes was enough to say it all. 😛

If they haven't yet, they need to try the Italian dessert tiramisu. It's coffee based also.

I’m sure they would love coffee and walnut cake. Especially Mr Chaudhary! 😊 It’s in my top five of cakes/pastries. Top is Victoria Sandwich cake, for me. It’s so very British!

I really enjoy the expressions on their faces when tasting the pastry. It's good to see them happy. How about having them try other treats made from coffee? Ice cream, ice cream shake... My grandmother would save a week's leftover coffee in the 'fridge and make coffee jello. Top with powdered sugar and whipped cream. It was amazing. Great video.

What a wonderful reaction from these fine men! I always wonder if they are given recipes for some of the foods they try, and perhaps they can make it for their families and friends? I understand that some of the ingredients might not be available, but perhaps they could recreate them with the ingredients they have available. God’s blessing to them and their families.

I'm gonna assume this is something similar to tiramisu. It seems like this has a similar flavor and texture to tiramisu. If so, I understand why they enjoy the coffee pastry so much.

I know tiramisu and coffee cake, bur i have never seen something like this before

its so fun trying new things with people that never got to before, i have a Mexican friend a work who we are always getting to try new places for lunch, he has great knowledge when it comes to Mexican food of course haha, but I've got him to try things like mongolian bbq, sushi, poke, Italian, Hawaiian, greek and all sorts of other things, he's 38 years old so its never to late to start and its the highlight of our day when we find a new place he wants to try out, it never gets old, he will come back after a weekend and tell us he took his family out to try it to cause he liked it so much, the biggest surprise recently is when we went to panera bread to try out some soups, he absolutely loves claim chowder and at least twice a week since then after work he get a bowl to take home if we don't go for lunch hahaha, its little things like this that really can open your eyes up to the fact that even though people can live a very different life then yours we all want the same things out of life happiness, love and enjoyment for ourselves and those around us, and it doesn't take a hole lot to do it sometimes its just a new snack

It's ironic that they think coffee originated in the West, even though the plant evolved in Ethiopia and the earliest records of it being drunk are from Yemen. Meanwhile, the Indian subcontinent was all about chai/tea. Neither can be credited to Westerners.
