Tahir saying he 'is lost in this colourful life' really hits home about the difference in lifestyles in this country. Glad that they got to expierence the other side of their country on their day out. So lovely that they made the film crew eat as well

It really does hit home because he realizes he has to go back to his village and it is not like that mall to say the least. It makes me realize how easy it is to take things for granted that seem ordinary like a typical Western mall.

For anybody wondering, Texas Chicken is what Church's Chicken is known by in several countries. And yes, while the company is now headquartered in Georgia, the first restaurant was right across from the Alamo in Texas, which is why they have a lone star as their logo. Or, for those in those other countries, Texas Chicken is known as Church's Chicken in the US and it was named after the founder, George Church Sr.

At first I was confused by the description of Texas Chicken as a "famous American chain" because I'd never heard of a chain called Texas Chicken. Then I saw the logo and realized what it was. I'm guessing the reason for using the name Texas Chicken internationally is to avoid creating the impression that it's connected to religion.
@EvanEdwards
@EvanEdwards Жыл бұрын
@@Zarah210 I think it is Church's Chicken in all of the US and several other countries. There are three within easy driving from here in East Nashville, Tennessee. Of course, there are also a couple of Popeye's and KFCs, a Bojangles, and a couple dozen different local places -- Nashville is really big on fried chicken and fried fish. Including pan fried chicken, which is different than deep fried chicken (not necessarily better, just different). Pollo Campero (a Guatemalan chain) has been opening restaurants all over the place and doing well.

What I love about these videos as well as others like them is that they help to dispel so many negative stereotypes of what people may think about cultures they don't know or understand. What we are always presented with are simple human beings, who have the same desires and wishes as we do, and who wish to expand their knowledge of the world around them. There is no ideology, just good people, of kind and humorous demeanor, who are in awe of what they are discovering and to share this wonder is something I think we can all relate to no matter what our religion or country. I also always love the way they say In the name of God, or Praise God when they get their food. Do this every time, show gratitude to God, and you will never go hungry

The sad thing is some of them have mentioned in past videos that they would treat their Indian neighbours like family if they met them, and on some Indian equivalent channels, the people there have said the same about their Pakistani neighbours. People don't want to fight. It's just those at the extremes and on top. We're all the same. We always have been.

He is just a natural tv host, and he’s (as long as it isn’t medical info - lol!) really knowledgeable and sophisticated about all kinds of stuff! Rana just makes the whole world smile with his infectious laugh and genuine curiosity about the world around him. He’s just such a sweet and funny person! I always enjoy the reactions of the villagers when they have the opportunity to travel and learn about other places. Much of the world has no idea where many places are and how the people live. Learning about other people and cultures gives us an appreciation for what we often take for granted. Thank you for this channel. Many Blessings.

I had the same reaction initially, but then I saw the logo and it all became clear. It's Church's Chicken. People who aren't fluent English speakers might not realize that Church is just the founder's surname.
