I think the original song in some ways emblematic of the 1990's. I was in my 20's at the time and there was sort of a feeling of anger and disillusionment with the world and our place in it. What I like about Ren's video is that he turns the original song on it's head and makes it a modern day anthem about how things really are; both the good and the bad. I find the similarities and differences between the two interesting as I remember the original. Ren's version is definitely less self absorbed.

These two songs makes me kinda think about the hooligan culture of the younger generation. Reminds me of when I was younger, in my twenties and my observations of the world. Pretty cool look. You know whats funny is that Ren is compared to the guy from Peaky Blinders quite a bit. I started watching the show, and then its a show about hooligans in London back in the 1920's. Apt Along the same theme, another crazy video I always like is from the Russian rap group Little Big called "Russian Hooligan". Its a freaking crazy video and I think it was filmed real, in the sense that the fighting is an actual fight. Something those crazy kids in that part of the world actually do. You should check it out. Its a great song, really gets me in the mood to do some crazy shit
