Fear is Not My Future was written by Brandon Lake, Jonathan Jay, Hannah Shackleford & Nicole Hannel. It is from Maverick City Music’s collaboration album with Kirk Franklin entitled “Kingdom Book One” Available Now!
On June 17, 2015, nine African-American men and women lost their lives in a single act of hatred during a weekly Bible study at Mother Emanuel AMEC in Charleston, SC. Seven years after the tragedy, Fear Is Not My Future was recorded in April 2022 to commemorate and honor the lives lost during the Charleston shooting. This song is a declaration of hope in the midst of our trials and tribulations.
The heart behind this project is to not only expand the idea of what the Kingdom of God looks like, but to also share and spread music and a message that taps into an inspirational and unfiltered love for all people.

I have dealt with the same. The things I found that helped me were journaling, reading my Bible, music that spoke to my situation, and my relationship with God. I was listening to this song when I was on my knees, crying for my mom’s health. I was devastated because she has cancer and wasn’t doing well at all. God talked to me through this praise, and when I opened the Bible, it was Psalms 27. God confirmed that we should just wait on Him. We still need a miracle, but now we have faith and praise while we wait! My mom is a woman who follows our Lord’s words, and I ask you to pray for her health as well. Her name is Maria Juracy and she has a serious Lymphoma.

Borderline personality disorder is a fight everyday especially when the Devil knows I'm fighting it. BPD amplifies our feelings a normal person feels. It's hard to reach out for help because of fear of rejection. "it's always the same" "Why don't you just let it go" "Move on" "It's not that serious" to a person with BPD it is serious. I joined a bible study group which lead to being included in a prayer chain, I volunteered to share my disease with the ladies and they prayed for me for healing, to seek Jesus and God more. One of them showed me this song it just made me feel alive. I can feel my desperation for Jesus. I only want Jesus, nothing else, no one else. I’m in the same situation but with bipolar disorder 1. It’s been a struggle all my life but I have rededicated my life to Him. I’ve been taking care of my mom who is 87 and has dementia. It’s hard some days because she forgets so much, but I just speak God’s love and light over her. I was able to come off two medications in the last year; I’ll be praying for you to stay strong in Jesus and in the Word of God. The God of the universe KNOWS YOUR NAME honey so take comfort in that.

This song is so healing for me. During Covid 19 lockdown my son had to go into hospital for treatment for recurrent lymphoma. A type of blood cancer. I was so torn as I couldn’t be in hospital with him. I played this song. All the time , I wrote the lyrics and had it pasted on his hospital room. God’s faithfulness never fails. My son is healed today. God never left us alone . Thank you for this song. Let the world know. God loves us and holds us close always 🙏

I'm a recovering addict. I could never stay sober for long until I totally surrendered to God . My days aren't always perfect or without storms but, they are amazing now with and through God. I know now that all things are possible with God he is and will always be my strength! Love and God Bless

Same... I did anything I could get my hands on until I found fentanyl... I was on that for a good while until I finally went to rehab, got clean and now I'm trying to get to know Jesus. Some days are way harder than others... I know this war inside of me will never cease but I have to believe that God will never let me down.

I just wanted to let everybody that's reading this i am my on my break at work at Circle K in California and everyday i listen to music before I go to work because it blesses me and all day long I am full of joy and love and people are amazed at how happy I am all the time and it's all because of Jesus this song blessed me so much on my way to work and all I want to do is spread Jesus' love joy and hope with everybody that I see everyday God bless everybody that is reading this

I played this worship song as my fur baby was passing away of 11 years… I can say this! The vet-doc walked out different that day!!🙌🏻✝️ Bcs he was watching this video as he injected the meds in… he was surprised we were doing it this way & not crying. 🙏🏻🫶🏻

This song brought me to 😭 in a good way. I'm an addict in recovery and have lots of guilt about my past. This song reminds me that I'm forgiven. My job is to stay sober one day at a time. As long as I do that I am victorious. I'm making living amends. I'm one of the very lucky who survived numerous overdoses. Thank you God 🌟

I recently had a surprised and difficult health situation which praise jesus he got me through. I have a follow up doctor appointment tomorrow and my anxiety has made me sick about it. I know that Jesus will take care of me and all will be well but there are those moments where you still worry. I am giving it to God right now and he will see me through. I will be playing this song on repeat.

The situation I am experiencing isn’t permanent. I was told by a former friend that I was too optimistic and it crushed me. Now I see that I have the gift of Faith that supersedes regular Faith. Prayer is my best friend and I find peace in praying for others more than myself.
