I just wanted to say thank you for posting videos like this. I have actually never commented on any video ever but I had to let you guys know that your video helped my husband and I so much. We love each other dearly and are "all in" in our marriage but we were struggling and we just couldn't quite figure out why. I came across your submission video a couple of weeks ago and it was such an answer to prayer. When my husband came home from work that evening, we sat down and watched it together and we both knew it was exactly what we needed. It has truly helped transform our marriage. We didn't even realize how far away from biblical roles we hadn't gotten. We are still learning what a biblical marriage truly looks like as we didn't really have examples of that growing up and even around us now. So, all that to say, let the haters hate and keep on posting these videos. It is so refreshing to know that there are people who desire to live life submitted to God. Thank you!

😭😭😭 thank you. Just having a moment reflecting that I went to college and went into the deception during all my young years and now I’m 38 trying to make it right 🥲. God is faithful, I am unlearning and making conscious decisions about how I spend my time and what I pursue. I came to my fathers house and just go to church and am helpful in feminine ways, I refuse to get a masculine job as I have a finance background because I know it will affect me in every way. Now I’ve met a traditional masculine man that is wanting marriage. It’s only been a month and I’m praying this is it for me. Your videos are my encouragement and education and hope 😅. I pray that women all over the country repent too. God bless America 🇺🇸

@@trevrockrock16 what happens when we assume? I’d rather be alone than with a Beta, I had found a man that had made the same choices and we were the same age in the same position. You’re projecting your own experiences with your comment. I didn’t do as I pleased, I faced myself and challenged every toxicity that existed within me for generations - I refused to repeat the pattern of suffering. It’s easy to get married and have children and have it all be baseless only to make those children suffer with the toxicity and low understanding of love you raised them with. I stopped a generational pattern and that to me is success. I suffered and still suffering I broke things off with the man because he was as pretending to be Christian and actually had no religion at all. It’s better to have no children at all or husband at all than turn away from Christ. I had the boundary of no sex before marriage since I was 25 and if that made me single fine by me - I still have hope as love always hopes but I will not drop my standards just for the sake of being married like 90% or people do.

Definitely very true about the father being absent from protecting his daughters. I would also add how important the mother and father's role to teach their children how a woman and a husband should treat one another as something cherished but not a possession. Women are quick to share horror stories and say their husbands were abusive and get triggered, but deep down I think they already knew before they married the wrong person. People rarely just flip and become different suddenly. I would hate to be a young single woman this day in time. It seems all the young men are so feminine now and lack the skills or desire to be a strong husband and father, and then the women make it even harder on them with their masculine behavior and inability to submit. It took me years to truly trust my husband as the head of our household and submit to him. I began to realize if I wanted him to always come home to me forever, I needed to make our home a place worth missing and coming home to.

What a wonderful blessing the two of you are! Thank you for presenting the message of wifely submission so well. My husband and I have been married 34 years with the last 21 years being with me in submission to him. Our whole reason is because of marriage being the grand example of Christ and the church. I also have long hair that I wear under a headcovering. This, to me signifies being under grace or married to Christ and 100% dependant on Him rather than doing my own works. This last part is why I don't work outside the home or even earn money in the home.

I really want to thank you for your courage to speak to so many spectrums concerning this struggle. There is a difference between Struggle and Creating Struggle. I think when you are creating Struggle you become frustrated, man handled, always hitting a wall which leads to blame, arguments, self doubt and powerlessness. Being Married for 25 years, I continue to see the need to check in with my Husband. First and foremost, you stated in the beginning is, Consecrated Marriages are sealed by the Holy Spirit to remain Holy in the hopes of reaching Heaven. My Husband and I are reading a 30 day retreat, that leads with Married couple Saints. It took me a long time Married to see the Heavenly examples given to us by God, as the help we need to strengthen our need for God first. Submission to God is, falling down on your knees, saying, I can't fight this world anymore, I can't fit in, because all I think should be, brings no JOY in my heart. You have to want JOY, true JOY, God's presence, taking hold, capturing, leading. Thanks again for reaching out to so many people on many levels of this journey. Today is the Day to turn your Marriage back to God, he does not judge, he forgives, he is waiting and needing your help in this worldly battle that does not recognize Heaven. Today is the day

Scott certainly has Kelli's r best interests at heart but there are hundreds of stories coming out of patriarachal marriages where the wife is suffering abuse under a cruel husband. the advice the church gives her is to go back into that abusive situation how about if both male and female have a personal relationship with Christ and each person follow HIS leading as diected in scrpture. 1- Eve was created co-equal with Adam, from his side, not his head or feet. Her name Ezer Kenegdo means equal partner or something similar with the connotations of a warrior. God gave them the same command or job---tend the garden-- with no other rules as to one head or in charge over the other…..that came after the fall as part of the curse which jesus redeemed us from that by what He did on the cross 2- We abhor slavery yet still want to keep half of the chrstians under a kind of headship/leadership/authority of a fallible human. 3- Patriarchy is biblical in the same way deserts, Romans in togas, camels are biblical, part of the backdrop of the bible, not the point of it. Redemption, salvation are the main point of the Bible. 4- Patriarchy is biblical in the same way rape and murder are biblical, part of the historical record of the history of the bible but in no way endorsed by God. 5- Patriarchy is an open ended concept derived from a few verses taken out of context--- “women submit, obey your husband” meaning any individual or church group can interpret and apply those “commands” in any way they think is biblical or to their liking. ---- In the 1400s a church council voted that women could be beaten by their husbands if they needed it. If you think that is horrendous, there are some Christian groups that now endorse spanking, among other punishments, those “disobedient” wives. Some extreme patriarchal teachings include rules and commands about how a woman dresses, never using bc, they should not vote, they are not made in the image of God, and other radical teachings. 6- Patriarchal rules are aimed mostly toward women and they vary in number and intensity from church to church, each claiming their interpretations are the true commands from God for women. Whereas men usually have only 2 rules, lead and breed. 7- When marriage goes wrong and the wife seeks help from the church, the usual response is she is not submissive enough. Many women have been sent back into very abusive marriages quoting “God hates divorce” and that the more she suffers the more holy she will be and God will bless her. Reality shows the husband often gets worse and rarely changes for the better. 8- Egalitarianism or mutuality is the idea that men and women are equal and only the triune God is the head or Lord of any one individual and that person is responsible to seek and follow God’s will for their life. And when that individual gets married that headship does not transfer to a fallible human. 9- Under egalitarianism or mutuality marriage, there can be no rules made or interpreted by the church group as to one spouse governing the other since the spouses, who have equal say, have liberty and responsibility to pry ans seek God and decide how their marriage will function as in who takes out the garbage, how many children (if any), finances, where they live, etc etc etc, without church or religious interference. 10- Egalitarianism is trigger word for many Christians. Those who agree with it are often attacked by those who believe in patriarchy. They are called names, their salvation questioned, that they are going by their feelings instead of the word of God and being outright accused of being feminist (in my case feminist Satanist) They also fear that to allow mutuality as a chrsistian concept is a slippery slope into lgbt. Ironically, those churches already had those leanings that is why they are open to women in leadership. Mutuality does not cause the other. I have never seen where those who believe in mutuality call those who do not agree names or treat them uncivil. 11- There are hundreds of stories of women who suffered and were abused in patriarchal marriages, but I have found no abuse stories where both parties were equal in all things. 12- There are many fb groups and podcasts of women telling their very sad and tragic stories and they all point back to patriarchy as the cause where the man misuses scripture to browbeat and abuse the wife and children. ---it seems ironic the only Christians offering help and resources for abused women are the egalitarian groups

I guess submission is easy if you trust the leader. This makes it even more of a requirement to be able to be picky about one’s future husband. It would also be easier to submit if the Church makes it easier for a victim of abuse to be able to seek protection from their abuser. This is not the case and oftentimes the victim is the one blamed while the abuser gets a free pass. The victim is often told to just put up with the abuse. So submission is not the really the issue but the unwillingness for the Church to address abuse which can and will occur.

Thank u. I went to law school when I was in the world. I am currently entering into marriage with a man of Christ and I’ve been really considering whether I should enter this profession. As I am maturing in the Lord, my desire for a successful attorney job has greatly shifted. I do not want to abandon my home for the sake of a career. If anything I prefer to be remote so I can tend to my home. It’s been a struggle to lay down feminist-type strongholds and humble myself to him but I pray that I can embrace submissive godly wifehood and he would have an increase in income and provision so I can stay at home.

Excellent video, as always. Just a couple things to note; Feminists get triggered about the submission thing because although men must submit to God and two other men in authority over them the submission between the sexes is always women to men in a Christian society, Church, and family. Not all women to all men but proper authorities, and never the reverse. Perhaps we can say it isn't their fault because they aren't taught and aren't aware of why God made them and how God made them, this is true. Making a blanket statement that it's s not a sin for a woman to work outside the home or have a business is a bit misleading. It is a far more nuanced issue and the way most are doing it today is sin.

All Christians stand to learn a lot by looking honestly at what God's words calls a wife to be and then applying that to their standing with Christ. It's all about surrender of the will/flesh - which is the impetus for sanctification. It's completely foreign concept to the world. The world loves and raises liberty to the highest honor. Do as thou wilt is the language of the flesh. No person in their natural state desires to yield their will to God. The flesh desires what it desires and is at enmity with God. I've often said the best indicator of the Holy Spirit is that a person can say truly that their desire is to do God's will. The fruit flows from a regenerate heart that is surrendered to Christ. It's never been a matter of trying harder to do good. It's about holding less influence over self, in a sense... trying less... and simply saying, "Yes Lord". Impossible for an unbeliever to comprehend.

I'm sure that you mean well in this video... But did you ever stop to think that maybe people don't live in your world because they don't practice the same beliefs that you do? So they're never going to understand what you're saying because you practice a religion they don't. I'm not trying to be mean, im being real. It would be like somebody from China trying to get you to understand their ways of life and expecting you to, and telling you are wrong for your beliefs. Maybe that's a little too real for you and that's okay. But please remember, not everyone grows up in Christianity, which, when you look at the timeline of religion, it's a somewhat modern religion compared to others that were around for many years prior to it. But by all means, If it brings happiness to your heart and it gives you something to look forward to and to live by, then, that means it works for you and that's a good thing. But just keep in mind that other people were not raised the same way you were. So when you talk about things such as college and education and girls, you're speaking from a place of biblical perspective..so it's not going to make much sense to the outside Christian world. It's like a dog speaking to a cat. It just won't work. Not everyone comes from a stable family or a religious family for that matter, and college helps them get ahead in life and leave a place that was so awful for them and they were able to financial support themselves instead of their deadbeat parents. You guys seem to ignore those things, unfortunately. On top of this, my friend is a pastor and watched this video (who sent it to me) and did not agree with things you were staying at all. You are speaking as if you are in a cult..and it's quite alarming. Plenty of really good Christian people go to college and have good careers and fulfilling lives, no matter what career they choose as masculine or feminine. They spread God's word and don't really say the same things you are saying at all.

I like your channel, and I'd love to ask your advice here, and this is primarily a question for Scott. As a young guy, I recently found out I have a heart issue that's getting the better of me. After several heart scans and discovering that my heart is ballooning in size, I now know my expiration date. This surprised me all the more as I'm very fit and work out. I have mixed feeling about this -on the one hand I look forward to heaven and glory, on the other I've always been super shy around beautiful women and feel I haven't enjoyed life to the fullest extent because of this. I'm trying to make up for lost time, but I know I won't ever have a wife, but hopefully a girlfriend. I'm struggling with temptation and wanting to have fun, and the frustration that this is taking time and doesn't usually work out. I'm ready to go out a virgin, but feel that if I do I will miss out so much on life. I envy married men with their lovely Christian wives, but I know envy is a sin. Any suggestions?

What I see is that wives do not LET their husbands be the protector. As soon as the father tries to instill discipline, order, etc..the mother jumps in & overrides or undermines him. We saw this with some cousins. the young (13) daughter dressed shamefully & when the father would try to voice his objections, the mother would jump in & tell him to mind his own business that was how all the girls dressed. Another family was the same way...father would raise objections to the daughters' scanty clothes & the mother would tell him that they bought them with their own $ & he had no right to dictate what they spent their $ on. My husband has worked very hard to be the leader/protector & has done a good job. But now our oldest daughter, who still lives with us, disregards his protection, dates someone completely inappropriate, doesn't want to take advice & can't understand why her father is upset. She has been completely swayed by all the 'feminist' types around her & keeps insisting she is 'independent' & doesn't need him telling her what to do. It WILL end in disaster. My husband has already forewarned her that if she chooses to marry this person, he will refuse to walk her down the aisle, as we don't have confidence in this 'man' being a good leader or provider & they will not have our blessing. This culture is toxic.

Hello! I have a question. Regarding the point of girls being sold into the slavery of paying back loans, what would the recommendation be? Would you recommend not sending girls to college? What is the difference between males of the same age going to college and taking on loans? In terms of development, the female prefrontal cortex is more mature at 18 when compared to the males so I am wondering your view on a 18 year old boy going and taking on the loans and how it is different?

As a woman, nothing wrong w learning to protect theirselves. In this day and age even a Godly man has their scars. A woman needs to be able to lead by protecting the household. Leading silently. An ignorant woman is not going to create a stable household. In all things there is a balance. Coming from a woman who did not have a good father, and was very successful independently...The Lord called me and my husband together so that we would work for eachother. it’s not about being perfect and protected as a woman. Infact a good father doesn’t shelter her, he leads her to be a good woman. You need to be a fierce mama bear when you have children. Not a push over. Papa doesn’t need to be the one to make your choices, you need to make those in Christ and not bother Papa w women problems. She needs to protect her young and call on others/the tribe/the church/the father when needed but not for everything. Ignorance is just lazy. Y’all are awesome and have explained a lot but you don’t have kids yet. Just wait. The challenge is not a universal one. But the message is the same and we all appreciate you for the message.

My boyfriend of 8 years recently asked me to marry him and that he does want me to submit to him as a wife. He is recently baptised , I am not particularly religious. The Pastor thinks we are a good couple. I have no idea what to do. Secular wife, religious husband. I am open to the idea of his leadership. Any ideas or input? Does the husband really believe that it is a religious experience to be head of the house hold? What stops him from being a tyrant?
@pattyhansen7563
@pattyhansen7563 4 ай бұрын
if he is truly that 'religious' he should not be wanting to couple himself with an unbeliever. be very wary. The Bible has a lot to say about yoking yourself to a partner unequal in spiritual concerns. The Pastor also should be raising concerns & WHY have you been dating for 8 YEARS. so much off in this situation. If you had not decided within the first 1-2 years to marry it is not meant to be, imho as a Christian. I will tell you - I am Catholic, always have been, & have a robust relationship with my Lord, Jesus Christ. My husband was raised Catholic, but does not 'believe' in it anymore. I thought he would change or grow in his faith the older we got & that I could inspire him to want to participate. It has been 20+ years - hasn't happened yet & it has caused some hurtful issues.

A lot of Christians have heard the word feminism but failed or were afraid to tackle it. Thank you for tackle it in the area of the female not being under her father’s protection . Thank you for tackling the area of the workforce abusing women by selling them the idea of “being liberated “ .

Obviously Islam isn’t the same as Christianity. It’s telling that this is your first example. Read what Paul said about what Christ did for the church in Philippians 2- made himself a slave Marriages should be about ONEness. ONE categorically removes the idea of two and hierarchy. This is what the ideal was from creation. For man and women and for the church united to Christ. Much love, keep seeking

Um before I believed I 100% was against work because it was inherently authoritarian. So like I would agree about bosses but maybe it's not exactly the intended um effect I guess. Even now I still think that to some extent. I was going to move to a commune and even that was restrictive but it was better than society. I'm not like angry at what you guys want to do but I dont even like men that much so why would I be into it.

let me introduce you to 3 women that the Christian church highly reveres but if they were an every day person like me would be called “feminist”. In reading about them a decision must be made concerning “ were they under male headship or authority and then how they lived (live) their lives and the resulting impact on the church….And if they were successful and managed to live a godly holy life spreading the gospel sans male leadership then the resulting conclusion must be one of the following--- 1- the way the church tradtionally thinks about women in ministry is wrong or 2- those 3 women are wrong or 3- God is wrong. We know it can't be #3. ---These 3 women who are accepted as highly esteemed women of God in complementarian and patriarchy churches are Lottie Moon, Corrie Ten Boom and Joni Eareckson--all 3 have taught men with their books and preaching. All have done things apart from a man's authority over them, getting their leading straight from God. How come they get a pass and the rest of Christian women do not? Because Joni is in a wheel chair? She is married so her husband should be in authority over her at all times. But she was an independent woman of God with a ministry and already hearing and acting on God’s leading in her life before she married. Corrie Ten Boom hid Jews and spent time in a concentration camp. She never married. She lived with her sister and father (so he may have been her male authority) But he died the night she and her sister went into the concentration camp. It was a special circumstance pat/comps say. Yes, it very much was but why does she get a pass to go against scripture as it is taught? Lottie Moon was a missionary to China in the late 1800s. She had to act on her own apart from the men who were head of missions back in the good old USA. Communication took time. She had only God to rely on and what did she do? She taught men and women. Was it ok because it was Chinese men she taught? She also wrote several articles about women being independent and equal to men. Boy, if the Baptist church only knew. But she makes so much money for them at Christmas as her name is on a fund raising campaign every year, so she gets a pass! The question remains- Either these women were/are sinning by not being under authority to a man ----or---- women do not need to be under any spiritual authority other than God. It cannot be both.
