My husband told me the other day he just loves to come home to me, my cooking, the kids, and then after the kids go to bed we play cards and talk and that is his favorite thing. It made me very happy to hear that.

Love everything you said. You both are a wonderful blessing. Thank you! I wanted to add to the outward beauty aspect...i think it's good for a woman to accept the fact that her body will change after she has children. Stretch marks, soft and loose skin, sagging breasts after breast feeding, wider hips. While each person is different, i think it's pretty common for many women. Please don't be disappointed if you aren't a size 2 after you have babies. Keep your weight in a healthy range, stay active, and eat healthy. Bearing children is a wonderful gift but it does change your body. Embrace your new body and remember the wonderful gifts you brought into the world. 😁💖

It seems like such a faux pas to even consider, let alone discuss the value that each person may bring to a marriage. Mainstream culture seems focused alone on the fairytale of magically falling in love and that is all that is important. So then when somebody is alone, it's the magic of love that is to blame - not their sub-par market value. There are so many things about ourselves that we can change to make ourselves more attractive to a potential mate (physically, emotionally and material). While being physically attractive and/or having wealth can be factors, it's not all that there is. Even after several years of marriage, we each seek to increase the value that we bring to the table to continue to lift each other up. We only wish we knew these things at a MUCH younger age. Love these discussions - you two are amazing! 😇

I work in childcare and I’m single never dated. I loved the idea of dresses since I was young. in love with the 1950’s style. During the summer I wore a lot of dresses and I felt amazing and I loved it. I felt like a woman. Anyway recently my job has made a dress code and it goes against what I want to be. They claim they don’t want to remove our freedom of expression but they total are because I see no reason why we need to wear a certain colour and only solid colour to work with children. My heart has fallen out of this job and I feel it’s time to go. I’m going to be seeking the Lord to see what the future holds.

Very interesting! I find it funny that the same people who shout freedom also are the same ones who take away certain rights… I don’t know the details about your situation, but as long as your clothing is decent, clean, and not offensive then what’s the problem? So what did you decide??! Where is the Lord leading you? 🤔

Hi! Well, I had a sorts of short hair lengths. At one point I was going for that short pixie victoria beckham haircut, so it was pretty short. The good news is, hair always grows back! And now you can consider it all healthy and trimmed! God bless you and I'm so thankful you enjoy the videos!

Forcing this on a child is clear abuse, whether they're a male or female. It's the reason they grow up and struggle so hard to actually fill these roles. As a child I always wanted to fill these roles but because my parents didn't wait until I was marriage age to force these ideas on me, now I'm tattooed, alternative, feminist, anti-sexual abuse, can't submit and don't want children. If I had been allowed to find this content after marriage, it would have given me the freedom I wanted. Instead I know how sexist and damaging this role is for women who have no choice in the matter. If your daughter doesn't choose it for herself, she's nothing of value but actually a slave.
@bridgetbeam7464
@bridgetbeam7464 Жыл бұрын
It is not abuse to pass on your values to your children. Just because they don't happen to be your values, does not mean that anyone is being abused because they choose to live a certain way. Of course my daughters have a choice. If they choose not to marry or have children, fine. I hold a masters degree, have a very active life, and I am definitely Not a slave. But allowing my husband to lead, and I submit, has brought more peace and joy in our 26 year marriage than you can imagine. I find it interesting that those who scream ACCEPT ME from the roof tops can be so judgemental of those who simply choose to live a more traditional lifestyle. I am no better than you, but you are not better than me.

SO encouraging!! Wow! I am two weeks in as being a stay at home mom and this video checked me good! Thank you! Praise God, he is helping me every step. Side question: I wonder what you guy’s thoughts are about fasting? I have a hard time thinking that fasting food can be for men and women… women have to breastfeed and carry babies, and they can’t be fasting during breastfeeding or pregnancy, so just wondering your thoughts 🙂 is it for men and women? Or just men?
@ScottandKelli
@ScottandKelli Жыл бұрын
Ah yayy to being a stay at home mom for two weeks now!! And with fasting, that's such a good question. I don't know the "right answer" but from my own experience, I've been very intentional about when I fast. Because for some time, I was fasting during my luteal phase, ( I had no idea, that I should be aware of my cycle time for when fasting) and it ended up messing up my hormones. Which was super upsetting with us trying to get pregnant. So I think in some seasons there is grace to not fast, or fast in a way that you have peace with, especially for women. I hope thats helpful for you!!

Fasting is for men and women. If you read the book of Esther, before she went in to see the king , she and her maidens and others fasted.

How did you deal with letting your hair grow out. I have always had short thick hair and my mother would never let me grow it long when I was a child. I have tried but it drives me crazy.

haha I understand! I guess patience with the awkward phase! Once you make it through that, its a huge relief! And I kept getting my hair trimmed, even while growing it out so it would stay healthy as it got long!
@AmyCrnkovic

My hair is thick and wavy and my mom wouldn’t let it grow very long as a child either. I had it shoulder length for a long time then about 5 years ago I quit cutting it except to trim the very ends but I rarely need to do that. It is hip length now. A tip I have for thick hair as it gets longer is it gets heavy! I like large claw clips for clipping it up in a bun when I am cleaning, diapering, tending our livestock…and it doesn’t hurt my scalp or break the fine hairs around my face. Avoid elastics for ponytails, try a scrunchy. Braids are also pretty and easy to keep tidy while doing things where long hair could be a danger like around machinery or livestock, or leaning over an open diaper :)

❤ some great tips! The laundry soap I tried it and it doesn't work as well as it did back in the day because the women used more friction with their hands...soap and detergent are different things... and the homemade stuff voids your warranty on washers ( if you buy new) but it could ruin even used models..because soap creates soap scum... there is a science to laundry. See hand soap works because you again use friction with your hands. The washer doesn't use friction and my experience was the soap sits on your clothes doesn't rinse out and leaves clothes more dingy and may start to smell..this has been my experience and some others. Laundry is a science 😊❤ on the abusive thing it isn't really as easy as you guys make it sound though... I am sorry but it is really naive.... maybe you two should actually talk to women that have been in these situations and actually get to know them...years back women just dealt with it and didn't do anything but deal with it and it has trickled down... to where we are now and you must know abusers have their good side so it gets really confusing to many and narcissism fool a lot of people..don't you really think abusers show that side right away?

This is a beautiful dynamic that I wish I could have, but you are not qualified to have kids at all while this submission exists. This is the reason the sexual assault numbers are higher against women and perpetrated by men. I decided to leave the church until I was an adult and it's the best decision I've ever made, I had been manipulated, controlled and molested my entire life as a young "traditional woman." Your poor daughter will never get to experience virgin marriage because you're holding it over her head to a point she HAS to rebel to SURVIVE. Your dynamic is perfectly fine for you and your husband, it is not okay in any way physically, emotionally or hormonally for a child. The difference is consent. Please realize before it's too late, I know that your calling is to be a mother so I also know you don't want a hurt and abused son or daughter with trauma and anger issues disowned you at 17, 18 or 19 because they hear their whole lives that they have to fill a role they were forced into and didn't decide for their own husband because the roles we're supposed to fill (specifically as women) are the opposite of what our hearts want for ourselves. You sound exactly like my parents and I fully agree, but my parents also created 9 kids and are loved by none.

Min. 26 is so disheartening, and the husband here HAS to take his power to see the pain being caused by this belief, it is his sole responsibility as a husband. Never tell your daughter that she has trouble submitting to rape because her husband is abusive and she should have done better. She will be dead when she gets married and her loving perfect godly husband starts raping her and instead of her being able to fix the abuse and the marriage, she thinks it's her fault for not wanting to be raped anymore and she'll lose her femininity completely and hate her husband to the core for continuously abusing her so deeply. Tell your daughters that no man deserves to have her body based off of values and looks and gender roles, anybody in the world can fill those if they truly try. Let her know she only owes sex to herself and her husband EQUALLY in a marriage as God intended and mentioned in the Bible repeatedly. I'm not sure how much time you spend in the Bible but you need to study way more before you're prepared to build a perfect relationship to bring children into. Your marriage is no longer supposed to have this dynamic after birthing a child.

Submission is for married couples. No where do they say that unmarried women should submit to men that aren’t their husband, or that little girls should submit to men. Weird twisting of words here.
