Mahalo i keia wikio ! 'o ia ka i'a aloa o Hawaii :) Thanks for this video, it's an amazing fish... Coral fishes are very beautiful ! I have been in France for a few years (very difficult to live here), and people can find this fish on the Atlantic coast. Where i am, on Mediterranean coast, we can't find this fish. All your videos are excellent :)

Yes, I love scuba diving, there are still some protected areas in the Mediterranean, but it's not as beautiful as in the islands! At the moment I mainly dive in apnea...:)

@@AnimalFactFiles Probably tropical marine fish because they seem to be more brightly colored and seems like I’m more familiar with them. I don’t go fishing and don’t have mush experience with fresh water fish. I’m just learning to ID lake trout in the alpine lakes. What do you prefer? Is this web page part of your business or a hobby? You seem to know so much! I’m always impressed by your content and presentation!

none of the photos or footage are actually of humuhumu. humuhumu are a deeper yellow and have one large black stripe across the body and black triangle near the tail. all of the fish shown here are lagoon/picasso triggerfish (Rhinecanthus aculeatus) which look similar but have very different markings.

A single Google search of "Hawaii state fish" clearly shows that this animal is the state fish of Hawaii. Unless you're referring to the concept that Hawaii shouldn't be a "state" and be returned its sovereignty, in which case it couldn't have a "state fish"?

@@AnimalFactFiles No I'm saying it's a bad choice for our state fish. It was voted so only because of its appearance in a song. The state fish should be one of the many beautiful endemics.
