A simple theory about even keel, is to move your weight in which distance between lcg and lcb is zero at final draft…if there’s zero trim lever, even keel will result on your final drafts.

Excellent video. I have 2 questions. 1.- What about sagg or hogg allowances (if vsl has LOA 200 mtrs), 5% of LOA is 10 m, so, as rule we can use max sogg/hogg of 10cm? I don't remember where I saw this formula. 2.- Trimming tables are considering Drafts Marks or Corrected Drafts (On LPP)?

Very well explain but then this method will consumed much of your time during trimming operation. Hence, i personally inclined using the lcg method😊. Cheers!

Many thanks ! With trimming is clear, but I would ask you - how to remove list ? Are you using ballast or some how with cargo ?

during the last stage of loading the list is correctedby carefully observing the draft marks on both sides on midship (usually done through manometer about which we shall be discussing in due Course ) This results in ensuring that the vessel remains upright during and upon Completion of loading. Since de ballasting operations are usually Completed during this stage, the list is Corrected normally using Cargo.

U have not mentioned what drafts to monitor during trimming stages . It would be very helpful if u post a video from that perspective

During the whole process of trimming the drafts need to be monitored constantly and very accurately. At any given time, no matter what, the drafts shall not exceed the maximum allowed draft on which the loading has been planned! Hope it clears!
