This! I was not a fan of the counts that included flipping the bird and cussing, especially since those are high school-aged girls. I understand it's a battle, but there's a way to bring the energy and still keep it cute.

@@QueenZoe7 Right! And the thing is that those girls are very talented, but all of that potential is being used the wrong way! It’s a battle so of course there are counts that call the other team out, but flipping off the camera and cussing people out? And I didn’t even know those girls were in high school until you said something. I wouldn’t allow my child to be that bold. You should always battle to win, but also battle with class.

And is 😂 I knew KK was going to do well as the Regulators’ captain. She has always been that girl.

KK used to be on Pirouette Dance Team (a team that DD4L used to battle on Bring It) so I always knew she had some thug in her 😂

Summer band is for all ages

No official high school band exists in the summer. They are out of school. It’ll always be allstar mixtures of different groups & ages in the summer.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with majorette/HBCU dance styles but when battling an opposing dance team, there are always counts that call the other team out, take a dig at them, or get in their space. That’s normal and it’s nothing personal. What’s not normal is having counts that flip the other team off and disrespecting the cameramen. The Blue team seems to have taken the Regulators counts way too seriously and consequently got in their feels and made it more than what it was. Yes, they were both battling but there’s a difference between battling and being plain disrespectful. Notice how the Regulators didn’t “attack” the camera with their counts nor did they come up acting like they wanted to fight until the Blue team decided to make it personal.

@@TaeHyunSoo13 I’m familiar and thanks for your take on it! It was a bit too much, too many times for me personally. We might have different ideas of messy. The blue team, IMO, ignored it for quite a bit and kept it chill. But that’s just my opinion. I also said and feel like it didn’t make sense because the white team was clearly full of more seasoned dancers. They would’ve won the battle by just dancing in their own space. I don’t think it called for all that they gave.

The Regulators were obviously the superior team no matter how you look at it so I can see how them coming at other teams could be viewed as unnecessary. But then again, it is a battle and you should never underestimate the other team. The priority (dance wise) is always to announce your presence and “win” the battle. I appreciate you sharing your views on this topic.

Dance wise I think both teams were very good actually. And it’s a battle with no rules so calling other teams out and getting close wasn’t an issue. However, I do agree that if they’re going to be allowed to do those things then neither dance team should take it personal and actually try to fight. It defeats the purpose of the battle, which is battling through dance, not words and fists.
