TRIP REPORT | RYANAIR | Lasagna for Breakfast? ツ | Bratislava to Birmingham | Boeing 737

4 жыл бұрынRyanair flight to Birmingham from Bratislava onboard one of their 460+ Boeing 737, including one of the most smooth departures I've ever recorded ever for the channel.
Just after takeoff we turned left, heading to Austria, allowing us to have some amazing views of Bratislava at very low altitude, including the Danube, the Castle, all the bridges, the old town...
During summer Ryanair bases a second Boeing 737 in Bratislava, which allows flying every day in the morning to London-Stansted and another extra destination. Hopefully, they will maintain that second plane during all the year, allowing better connections in different airports.
Ah, yes, almost forgot about it... We also enjoyed a very nice breakfast... just take a look!

I do agree! And to be honest I wasn't expecting it. It surprised me, but I think I managed to record it well. I was quite happy with the result when editing the video :)

Really enjoyable TR my friend! Not being from Europe I had never seen inside a Ryanair aircraft and I have to say I do like the colour scheme.Onboard prices to my thinking aren't too bad either!That was a lovely departure from Bratislava,especially as she banked and you could look back onto the airport you had just left,stunning scenery all round,well done and look forward to your next TR

Thanks so much! I really think that Ryanair and Easyjet were both the best possible thing that could happen to aviation. Before their "boom" it was almost impossible to make more than 1 trip per years to the vast majority of people. Nowadays, almost everyone can fly and make trips just by saving a little. Next trip Saturday video will be Thomas Cook. But also, next Sunday I will be recording the first video with Turkish Airlines! :D Greetings and thanks for the support! :)

@@OnBoardHD I'm annoyed ryanair removed the ability to carry hand luggage as part as the ticket. I used to be a regular passenger with ryanair, flew with them on at least 200 occasions to destinations all over europe.

It's been a long time... My last flight was with Wizzair in early-March, flying from Vienna to Warsaw on the A321NEO. However, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! I have already booked several flights for July-August. I think I will soon make a video "updating the channel's situation" and announcing all the airlines we'll flying with in the next months. :)

Oh yes, I’ve been waiting for this one haha. Great trip report as always, worth the waiting 😁😉 Have you heard about RYR cancelling all routes from BTS to Spain? It’s pretty sad but it’s affected by the MAX crisis so I kinda get it 😌 P.S. I would love to see some a320/321neo report soon 😍

Thanks so much, Swangi! :) Yep, I've heard it... It's sad. I've heard that the Madrid one is just temporarily, until the MAX arrives. By the way, the Mallorca and Málaga routes were just summer routes for all the last years, so they are not really cancelled. Soon I will upload a Wizzair A321 NEO trip report! :)

@@swangi1230 Yep, let's see... the "problem" for Bratislava airport is that it has a giant just 60 km to the west called Vienna-Schwechat. The LAUDA "boom" affected a lot to many Bratislava routes. Let's see what happens after the crazy price war ends in Vienna airport (some airline will retire or go bankruptcy, there's not enough space for Wizzair, Lauda, Easyjet, Eurowings and LEVEL there).

Ya se que soy pesado, pero es sólo para informarte. Me dijiste que en otoño harías un viaje desde murcia hasta manchester, pero en octubre abren la ruta murcia-gran Canaria con los crj1000 de binter, Haz la que quieras. También están planeando abrir rutas hacia rumania, Hungría y Bulgaria con wizz air. Espero que te hayas interesado en alguna de estas rutas para el futuro. ;)

Hermoso trip report mi estimado y viajero amigo!!!, como estaba esa lasagna matutina? jajajaja, es buena la comida de Ryanair, te pregunto porque en Octubre iré a Europa y haré las rutas PMI-CGN - CGN-CPH. Me gustó mucho ese descenso con las nubes en UK, que bonito es el paisaje de Inglaterra, espero algún día visitar otro aeropuerto aparte de Gatwick en UK. Estimado, disculpa la pregunta que va mas allá de lo que me incumbe, pero que te lleva a volar frecuentemente esas rutas en Bratislava, Viena, Madrid, Birmingham, Stansted y también las rutas hacia las islas Canarias, disculpa la impertinencia. Felicitaciones por este trip super super aaahh y aprovecho de agradecer por los detalles de poner el destino de los aviones que aparecen en tus trip y sus respectivas distancias al destino y por mostrar también los nombres de las ciudades que sobrevuelas. Otra pregunta, que tipo de soporte usas para que tus grabaciones sean estables?. Saludos desde Chile !!!!

No tengo pensado repetir, por ahora! jajajaja Precisamente este sábado vuelo a CPH, pero con Air Europa desde Madrid en el Boeing 787! Muy pronto el vídeo en el canal! :D Pues al principio hobby, ahora residencia y trabajo jaja Las Canarias si que son puro hobby, para grabar vídeos para el canal casi siempre! jaja Soy de los que piensa que cuanta más información ponga en los vídeo, más interesantes serán. de ahí ese trabajo meticuloso de investigar por donde vamos, los aviones a dónde van... Another great video. Thanks. When everything goes well Ryanair are good. Personally, I don't like way the fare is structured. Too many variable extras to pay. I understand what they are trying to achieve. They advertise 'simple' fares. What could be more simple than one fare which includes checked baggage, seat selection, check in etc. I can live with catering being extra/pay on board. Discount for early booking is fine. I have found that non budget carriers like BA can actually work out cheaper in the end and also seem to have better customer service than the so called 'budget' carriers.

Thanks so much! Well, to be honest, and after flying with lots of airlines during the last years... there's almost no difference between Ryanair and many other "legacy airlines". Nowadays, almost all work in a similar way to Ryanair but at higher prices. Maybe the only big difference is the customer service, but I've never needed it (in any airline) so I can't compare them. Anyway, the super low-fares that Ryanair offers were one of the main factors at the beginning of this channel, as it was the only way to be able to upload a weekly video. Now, since 1 year ago I've started to diversify the content. For example, next week I'm flying for the very first time with Turkish Airlines, something that was completely impossible some years ago. I think that Ryanair and Easyjet were both the best possible thing that could happen to aviation. El Tupolev es un 154, pero sí, es espectacular. El gobierno Eslovaco tenía 2 de esos, pero los jubilaron hace un par de años y cogieron unos cuantos Airbus A319 business jet. El otro está en un museo de aviación, situado en la segunda ciudad más importante del país: Kosice, al este del mismo. Saludos y buen Domingo! :)

Al desembarcar por pasarela se pierde mucho más tiempo. La verdad es que si no llueve, es mucho más eficiente embarcar a pie y usando 2 puertas en lugar de 1 solo.

¡Gran video!. ¿Merece la pena pedirse la lasaña?. Hago esta pregunto para saber si sería buena opción en caso de querer probarla en próximos vuelos. Muchísimas gracias! Pues la verdad es que si tienes hambre, la lasagna es la mejor opción en relación cantidad/precio. Y lo digo con datos en la mano, tiene el doble de peso que un panini (a mismo precio) y 75g más que el siguiente plato posible jajaj El próximo sábado estrenamos la aerolínea Thomas Cook! :)

@@alejandrohernandezvalverde5382 Jajaja A veces hay que irse a evidencias empíricas para saber qué comer! jajaja Con Thomas Cook toca A321, pero el sábado estaré volando (en el momento en el que se publique el Thomas Cook) en el Boeing 787 de Air Europa hacia Copenhague! :D Además en Septiembre tendremos interesantes viajes, incluyendo Turkish A330 e Iberia A340! :D

Probably some Emirates A380 or similar? :D Finally, the summer peak season is finishing and the prices are now going down. That allowed me to book some interesting flights, including Air Europa B787, Iberia A346 and Turkish Airlines A333, all for September. Really looking forward to those flights! :D

I’ve tried to fly them in A332 ex Jet Airways few years ago but didn’t record anything as I was coming from a nightmare while on transit in IST, so I was very tired. My next flights will be HOP! ERJ-145, Vueling, again few Ryanair and Iberia. No long haul flights planned for the moment. I’ve uploaded Oman Air A333 Business Class TR few weeks ago. Well yes prices are going down now for the low season but I have so many mileage to use! Maybe I’ll use them for Xmas... Looking forward to watch your next TR!

I've been with the last steps of my license (currently flying already! finally!!, and going to Milan Malpensa on Thursday, by the way! :D) and I didn't have time for almost anything! Nunca lo he hecho, a pesar de que muchas veces he dicho que lo iba a intentar. No obstante, por ejemplo, muchísima gente me pedía también un vídeo con Turkish Airlines... algo que era super-imposible hasta hace poco. Pues bien, la semana que viene voy a volar por primera vez con Turkish Airlines. Prometo intentar volar a Oporto muy pronto! Saludos! :)

This kind of landings are, by far, the safest ones. If you flote over the runway to get a super-smooth landing, you are decreasing the landing distance available to brake the plane, which in turns reduces the safety margins. That being said, if you are flying to an airport like Madrid, with a 4km runway, of course, you can flare more than usual. But that applies only to good weather. When the runway is wet, or there is crosswind... etc You want to put your wheels over the runway as soon as possible to start braking. A smooth landing is only good from a comfort perspective. That's all. Also, we can't compare the landings between a B737 and an A320. The A320 has longers wheel struts, that reduces a lot the "landing forces".

Hi Lucas. Am I the only one who thinks Ryanairs cabin looks cheap and tacky . Personally I don't like them. If I have to pay a few extra € to fly on a different airline , then I'm happy to do so.But with all the extras you have to pay their base fair can sometimes be pretty much the same as other airlines.. ps: was the lasagne nice ?..lol..nice vid..cheers

Well, to be honest, the new cabins with the Sky Interior are really amazing. The new seats together with the Sky Interior LED technology is really comfortable. In my opinion, better by far than the A320 cabin. Now, what we have in this video is the old cabin with the new seats, and that's not the best visual combination! hehe That's true. But they've decided to change the seats (you can't install the Sky Interior on an airplane that wasn't built for it) because they weigh less and because they offer a lot more legroom for the passengers. Nobody realises, but Ryanair legroom is one of the best in Europe, for an intra-European flight of course, and comparing the economy rows. Of course, the legroom on the business rows in other airlines is better... but just the first 5 rows of the plane are that way. The lasagna was quite good. Probably the Italians wouldn't say the same, but for the rest of the world, not used to eat just the great Italian lasagna, is pretty acceptable :)
