TRIP REPORT | RYANAIR B737 | Real HARD LANDING! | Bratislava - Madrid

5 жыл бұрынWinter morning flight with Ryanair from Bratislava to Madrid. The flight was over a white landscape until we left the Alps behind. This was one of the last Boeing 737 received by Ryanair with the old interiors.
The flight nice end was a hard landing in Madrid after a windy approach. It's nice to experience one of these from time to time!

Haha It wasn't soft, that's for sure hehehe Bratislava is a perfect airport for low-cost airlines. In my opinion, is it's not well served. The proximity of Vienna airport (50 km) doesn't let it grow as it could =(

Bratislava airport looks like it's a really nice & modern midsized airport. I ALWAYS enjoy the little tours of all of these different airports. I might not get to set foot in most of them, but at least I've now had a tour of them. Keep up the Great work!! 👍

Jajaja Efectivamente! Toma dura, toma segura! Esta es la técnica de aterrizaje con viento cruzado! Quizás un pelin mas suave, pero asi es: poner el avión en tierra cuando antes y empezar a frenar con todo :)

10 de 10 este tripreport, hermosa ruta, sobretodo de Marsella, pude divisar la estación de trenes de Saint Charles, donde estuve el año 2002. Me da la impresión de ir viajando también en todos tus tripreports, debe ser por lo nítido de las imágenes. Como broche de oro de este video lo doy nota roja al PF que "aterrorizó" jajajajaja !!! tremendo costalazo, que increíble la resistencia de esos trenes de aterrizaje!!, saludos mi viajero amigo!!!

Haha During the next 2 weeks I will be recording 10 new flights! Including new airlines like Air Europa Express or Alitalia. Also, the brand-new A321NEO operated by Wizzair! We'll be flying also in the TAP A330 and Air Europa A330! :D

This one was the same plane (EI-FIF)from my last flight from Athens to Bologna.It's uploaded in my channel.Although it is not an old one it has the old interior.Nice to watch a video from the same one plane.Only that the pilot wasn't a woman.These mountain views were breathtaking my friend.You even got the F-18.The landing was even the same.HARD....................Haha.Great filming as always.

Actually, the first officer was a woman on this flight. :) The F18 was really a surprise, even that you can see an Air Force base in final approach to Madrid haha Glad that you have enjoyed it so much! :)

Last weekend i flew FCO-PMO with the newly released 737 sky interior EI-FZD and the pilot was 23 yo and did sooo smoothy landing

Because this was following the crosswind landing technique. It's nothing bad on this "hard landing" it has to be done something similar to this :)

Muchas gracias!!! Lo cierto es que esta es la tecnica de aterrizaje con viento cruzado que aparece en el manual del B737. Cuando hay viento cruzado la prioridad es poner el avión en la pista cuanto antes para poder empezar a frenar cuanto antes. Quizás fue un pelín más dura de lo normal en estos casos, eso no te lo niego, pero aterrizaje malo para nada. De hecho, el tren del B737 está diseñado para aguantar alrededor del triple de esto. Me alegra que te hayua gustado el vídeo! Saludos! :))

My friend flew on EI-FIF from Dublin to Rzeszow. Lukas if you fly Ryanair look out for EI-EKE, EI-GJB and EI-DLC, I've flown all three. That landing sounded like a bomb explosion

Al comandante o el sobrecargo que informaba de las ofertas de perfumes, le tenían que haber dado un plus por animar a comprar. Si estoy en ese vuelo, caen todos los perfumes. jajajajajaj. It’s much safer to land hard than soft. And Boeing states in training manual that the criteria to a safe landing is not a soft landing. Any landing that is soft is considered worse than a hard landing to us pilots haha! The passengers don’t realise that it’s better.

Great geography lesson ! Very good quality . I think landings with the B737s are harder than the A320s because of the shorter landing struts on the former which therefore exaggerates the shock .

Thanks so much! Glad that you've enjoyed the video! 😊 The A320 is easier to land because the B737NG is already an upgrade of the B737 classic. As far as I know, it's not difficult to land the B737 but far more than the A320.

Especially the longer version of the 737, like the 800 and the 900 are much more difficult to land because of the relatively short landing gear. In terms of passenger comfort the a320 is way ahead of the 737ng, especially when it comes to cabine noisy. Especially behind the wings, the 737 ng is a very noisy aircraft. But in the end flying with these machines is way more funny i think. And in terms of fuel economy the 737ng beats the a320.

About fuel economy I really dont know. About flying them... I flew both in real simulators, and the B737 looks more challenging, that's the truth.

Jajaja Lo que pasa es que el dutyfree no está de camino a las puertas de embarque, es decir, no tienes que pasar a través de él necesariamente. Lo cual no implica que no haya uno bien grande en el aeropuerto jajaja No eres el primero que me dice lo de la toma de las escaleras mecanicas jaja Intentaré innovar algo más en futuros vídeos, aunque no se me ocurren muchas cosas, todo sea dicho jaja saludos! :)

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience normalmente el estímulo surge cuando menos se le espera, seguro que algo surgirá. Como dato a incluir en los vídeos, estaría bien indicar altura y velocidad a nivel de crucero, con los datos que te aporta Flightradar24. Un abrazo y gracias!!

@@javisanmartin9896 Sí, sí, lo se. De hecho uso FR24 para saber los destinos de la mayoría de aviones que se ven en los vídeos. El nivel de vuelo suelo olvidarme frecuentemente de ponerlo jaja Respecto a la velocidad, cambia segun hables de TAS, IAS o Ground Speed...

and just think about it. The aircraft takes off from somewhere, maybe some rain make it a little bit "dirty" but not too much since the aircraft is very fast, and then climbs to cruise alt where there is nothing. And the approach and descent is the same just in vice versa. So they really don't need to wash the aircrafts. That's why all aircraft looks pretty well-maintained from outside and plus it is well-maintained 😊

Que fuerte 😄😄Uno de los últimos vídeos tuyos que vi fue el del go arownd por un tráfico también en Barajas. En el último momento habían nubes bajas. En en este caso ¿es debido a viento lateral? It's true that the B737 is more difficult to land "softly" than the A320, for example. But that doesnt mean that sometimes you will butter it! 😉

look at the wing and the ground you can see it. The pitch did not change! There was no round out and flare to reduce VS. It was on purpose.

Es divertido que la gente se vuele de Ryanair por sus aterrizajes y yo la única vez que tuve un aterrizaje así fue en Zaragoza y había lluvia y viento jaja

@@OnBoardHD yo siempre he tenido aterrizajes suaves con ryanair, de hecho la última vez había un viento cruzado horrible que hacía que el avión se girará literalmente y el aterrizaje fue suave

Un aterrizaje no es bueno o malo por lo suave o duro que sea. Un aterrizaje es bueno cuando puedes empezar a aplicar los frenos lo antes posible. Cuando la toma es positiva es la mejor desde el punto de vista de la seguridad.

The B737 is not an easy plane to land. It's not just Ryanair. All B737 operators tend to have more firm landings than A320.

Bratislava airport is perfect for low cost airlines in my opinion. It even has a business lounge if some legacy carrier wants to fly there. It was just used by Czech Airlines, but they finished the route Prague-Bratislava-Kosice with ATR some months ago... =(

Because you may be flying in a windy day or you may be flying to a area where they try to keep the descent till last minute as to not make as much noise and then descend rapidly once they have passed the city.

@@OnBoardHD fue en septiembre del año pasado ,muy largo con conexión Canarias Madrid y Cancún de un tirón ,pero genial el vuelo y el personal ,y eso qu teníamos unos cuantos huracanes puruladondo x esos lares ,de echo llegamos con tormenta tropical,pero fuerza😰! valió la pena ,el avión genial apenas turbulencias ,lo menos qu me gustó del avión A330 Air Europa es no tener entretenimiento ,la comida para mí muy bien ,normal y sin quejas ,no es un restaurante y no se puede padir más ,no como muchos de los pasajeros que hasta por Manises se quejaban 😱,soy muy respetuosa y nada más llegar me encontré con los auxiliares de vuelo y x supuesto les di las gracias a todas ellas ,qu se nos olvida qu son personas trabajando y se les reconoce sus servicios y las molestias de los pasajeros super pesados!!qu luego se quejaban de los niños x llorar y estas personas son peores ,sin más ,gracias por contestarme y preparando vacaciones para nueva York ,un saludo !!xf sigue subiendo esos vides ,me encantan !

Ahah we both uploaded a Ryanair TR 😉 Did you say hello to me when flying above Milan? 😃 I thought that all EI-Fxx had the new cabin, but you took EI-FIT and it still feature the old cabin, one of the last with the old cabin as you wrote. Anyway, flying above the snowy Alps always provides great emotions!

@@OnBoardHD Alitalia A321 are quite rare and are flying mostly between FCO and CAG/PMO/CTA/TLV so you are quite lucky. But you should feel more lucky to fly one of the oldest A321 and one of the newest A321 on the same trip, so you may compare the difference. I would be interest to see how long the cabin of the A321neo is between door 1 and the overwing exits, considering that door 2 has been removed in order to increase capacity. Also you will find the newest seats on Wizzair A321neo, so please make a review of those seats as well! ;-)

Ryanair is known for hard landing and does it. Because they wait only 25min at one airport and go back. Other airlines have 1hour. So to butter you need a lot of runway. Ryanair to save time they want to take the first exit. And make you reach home on time. Other airlines have 1hour so they have time to taxi from the last exit after buttering the bread. So that’s why. It doesn’t mean Ryanair had bad landing. Even they have buttered the bread sometimes.

Landing exactly on the touchdown point is the safest landing possible, as you have all the runway lenght to stop. If you flare more, the landing will be softer, but less safe.

Jaja No fue un aterrizaje suave, eso está claro que no. Sin embargo, esta es la técnica de aterrizaje por viento cruzado establecida por Boeing. Quizás un pelín más suave, pero cuando hay viento cruzado lo que se quiere hacer es poner el avión en la pista cuanto antes y de forma firme, para poder empezar a frenar cuanto antes. Was on a Ryanair flight from Luton to Cork last Wednesday and the landing was abysmal! Felt like we'd landed on the right side only and many passengers were nearly thrown into the seat in front of them haha.

@@OnBoardHD Swear on my life it's not exaggerated, there were crosswinds at the airport as it's an exposed airport near the coast so that's why it landed rough. We landed, that's what matters. ;)
