If the APU shuts dows 2-3 minutes after turning on, could it be this issue? (No codes in the tool. The condenser fan on top of truck only comes on for a few seconds before the APU shuts down. The alternator never seems to engage, even though the belt is rotating. And the APU also beeps when powered on).

@@lucknerJacques If I remember correctly I believe this small gauge wire goes all the way to a 2amp or 5amp fuse all the way to the truck main batteries and the fuse was completely corroded inside.

I use a crane trailer and have to keep it running while using the crane. Is there a way to upgrage the alternator on apu so i can just run the apu to power the crane trailer?

I am getting problems with one of tripacs. Voltage regulators keep burning. They last 1 to 2 months... plus this unit has strange problem. When outside is hot the engine will bog down when compressor kicks . I have checked the refrigerant charge. It has two cans inside... any idea what else to check ?

I had my Apu running today all of a sudden it started smelling like someone lit fireworks in my bunk, when i checked the apu there was smoke coming from where the belt loops throught the bottom could this be an alternator malfunction or electrical?

First check make sure the belt is not loose or maybe your compressor or alternator is bad.

Hi i have one wire hanging loose from starter bracket, looks like ground wire. Don't know where to connect other side ?

Hello where n how can i find that wiring harness for my 2010 apu those wiring that goes from altert apu to top of the aui its a 4 or 5 wires together goin towards up . White in color

mine has code 61 low or high battery voltage. cleaned alt ground and starter. and it senses 0.1 volts

check small fuse in the battery for APU

Hello sir great videos ! 👍🏼 my tripac is not starting when batteries are used but it start when i put it on ac or heat ! For example i left the fridge on for two days and when I come back my truck did not start the batteries were low ,but before my tripac used to start by it self when ever i leave my truck for few days to keep the batteries charged! I changed alternator terminals all fuses are ok but still same ! It would be nice to have your view on this ! Thank you !
