We use the one-trip containers for offices and garages and I’ve never seen a wear issue with the vinyl. I guess whatever we can throw at them is no comparison to being used for cargo in the ocean for 12 years.

Rubber gasket then we Sika Flex the outside. We also cant the roof to shed water.

Can you explain how you cant the roof please? I’m trying to attach 4 together and can’t solve that problem

@@rhythmincdancestudio3213 When you cut a wall out you just raise it up then weld supports. Maybe a 1/2”. But if you’re not cutting a wall out I either would worry about it or you can cut the seam at the top of the wall then raise it up then reweld it.

@@Simpleshippingcontainers thanks so much, this is such a puzzle for me, since the containers drain on the sides if I attach 2 together I can put a flashing over the seam to push the water to the other sides. When I attach 4, I can’t do that so I have been trying to figure out a way to make it happen without having to pay for a huge roof over all of the containers lol

With a tracked conventional panel door you can go to 8’ tall in a high cube container, you’ll simply have tracks protruding the other side or open side of the container to allow for travel backward. If the walls are not cut out of a container 7’ is the max since the container is 8’ wide.
