Love your work. Great footage as always. Spent a lot of my summer holidays in Stawell in the early eighties. Auntie’s house backed onto the line near the silos. They were great days indeed. This video brought back a lot of memories of Stawell. Keep up the good work. Cheers

I will do that, now I think I've got my computer sorted, before it would crash on long 4k vids, but it had some work and seems to be behaving, so I'll try for a longer one soon. The trouble is lack of daylight in many cases.

Great footage as always, gotta say, love watching the scenery, very peaceful, and the audio of the engines would give a eunuch a hard on!

Great work Adam, most enjoyable aspect. The "BRM" used to be well known for electrical problems, closing photo collection a really nice touch.

I like the fact they don't lay on the horn at road crossings like they have to here in America....
@chrisszollos15432 ай бұрын
Usually, a short burst when you know the crossing is coming up or at the whistle board, then once more just before the crossing to make sure if anyone is there, they're aware. If I see someone coming up to the crossing, or at the crossing, I'm straight on the horn for at least 2 seconds and then a very short blip of the town horn just as I'm about to roll onto the crossing.

Very informative, love to see one Arrarat to Maryborough or visit versa?
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER2 ай бұрын
I'm not currently qualified across there, but at some stage of we run a daylight service I might put the go pro on and get it off at the other end.

G'day Adam, Before I forget how does the BMR compare to the C Class, both wide nose EMD Bangers & like the elephant ears too. Cheers Louis Kats 👍

When different engines are coupled together how is their output balanced? I enjoy your videos thanks for the effort.
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER2 ай бұрын
The smaller engines just give what they can, usually more so at lower speeds. But they all work together to pull the train.

Are those ex-V/Line N Class leased to SSR? And, if so, have you had the opportunity to drive one yet?
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER2 ай бұрын
Yeah they are on lease. Yep sure have driven most of them at some stage between passenger and freight service. They go well!

Hi Adam, Tell me, So you guy's are shunting or the wagons in and out to load, Or, Is it one long conger line up under the silo. And it takes 10 hours to load the 53 wagons. So, At the end of loading. Do you guys get a bed at the local Motel/Hotel until departure??
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER2 ай бұрын
It's loaded in 3 pieces not many load locations can handle 53 wagons in one hit, yeah we stay in horsham on these jobs.

Good work, although must admit the horns of the lead loco sound terrible. Is it the same set that the gt46cace’s have?

Yes airchime K1/2, 2 chimes are generally unappealing.
